What's really funny to me is how pathetic Bish performance is when you consider their numbers.

Every time I see even teams, I see Bish losing.

Been wondering same.  For 1 hour it's fun, then it gets lame fast.  There seems to be a whole group of players who automatically join the team with the numbers.

Since you put some sort of smiley on the subject, and there was little substance, you are disqualified for the WotW award.

I think it's a genetic thing really..

I logged on the first time ever as a bish. First thing I noticed was all the Golly-gee Spits...

Well....

That was okay..I guess. But as time went on it was the high percentage of pilots with EXTRA appendages that made me uneasy...

Talking in tongues...

And pilots just sitting....staring into space..

With spittle in the corner of there mouth..

It_is_a_little_too_strange there....

I had to leave...

Because we log in and don't look at the roster because we just want to get some kills and have fun and don't really care about numbers or landgrabporkfest.

What Funked said, plus the fact that some of us have always flown Bish and have a strange sort of affection for how we manage to suck it up even in the face of underwhelming odds.  You gotta love us...we're kinda like the chicken hawk in foghorn leghorn cartoons!

It goes in circles guys, give it a rest.  I've seen all three countries significantly outnumber the others lots of times and I've only been onboard AH for a little less than a year.5.   You've got squads who switch sides "because they want to" or to help out the underdog, highly commendable.  You've got squads who remain loyal to one country, thats commendable too.  You've got other folks who ride all three chess pieces for no other reason than to get to know folks or get easier access to a furball...outstanding.

The only really sad part is the goofs who insist on the path of least resistance.  They have nothing but inflammatory remarks for those who DO do the team-strato thing, yet they piggyback on the success of that very group of people to "get thier kills" the easy way (by outnumbering whoever).  Thats kinda lame really.

I've only been here a year or so, but I'll dispute that statement that 'it all goes in circles'.  Except for a brief month long period when I first started, the Bish have enjoyed a numerical advantage for at least an unbroken string of 8 months.  Now, as far as who is in the proverbial bucket, that tends to alternate between Rooks and Knights, as far as I can see.

hello, my name is hangtime and i fly bishop.

i gangbang,
shoot chutes,
steal kills,
vultch and HO,
join fariz's landgrabporkfests,
rape kniggit and rook sheep
..and fart copiously on RW.

it's a dirty job; but but rewarding when we get it right.

Numbers, schmumbers.

Having lots of Bish numbers has nothing to do with world conquest. We can't get organized no matter how many "numbers" we have.

It's why you see 347 light fighters over a small base and no goon within 233 miles of the place. It's why our buffs  (all three guys) will be flattening an ack factory when we're down to our last 3 bases.

Trust me, if the Bish win a reset it's purely by accident.

I think that's why I like my fellow Bish and why I've stayed since day one. I love this attitude! :D

Still, I salute all you valiant fighters for the chess piece of your choice! May your chesspiece rule the bits & bytes maps! May your strategies be legendary. May your campaigns be sung around the campfire. Long may you conquer fanstasy worlds!

I think I'll just play to have fun, however.  ;)

My plan's been working pretty well since beta but YMMV.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Heh.. I guess there is a definate trend in AH.  Folks that fly for the Bish are saying "Hell, it is great fun outnumbering the other teams combined, I don't see a problem with it", while folks that fly Rook or Knight see it as a problem.

I personally just look at the Bishops as targets anyway, most of their numbers seem to be fairly unskilled.  Get enough of them together and they can overwhelm you though, I think that is what most people have a problem with.
