There's always that nagging possiblity that folks fly Bish precisely because (with the exception of a very few generals that are probably supposed to be in Knightland or Rookland but got lost on their way to world domination) we don't worry too much about a game.

Win a reset? Lose a reset? Perk points?  pfffff. It's the shootin' that gets the adrenals pumping.

Toad.. you don't worry to much about a 'game' because it isn't a problem for you.  You HAVE numbers, you don't routinely take on 2,3,4,5 bish in a fight.  Your only problem is fighting your way past 3-4 buddies to get a kill.  

I suspect that if the situation were reversed there would be more than a little squeaking out of the Bishops.

I could careless about numbers or reset. Bish get the most of the resets. Thats not a whine but fact. I can understand that when ever someone logs on they have 3 gangbanged bases to choose from he may lose interest in ah.

But its easy to say:

When the majority of the time your side has the advantage. But to the guys who fly an hour a day to get some a2a in and find the fuel at the last 3 bases he has is porked or some mission general has put up a series of gang rapes in the gang planner I can see where it would suck. Perks point mean nothing in this context. I will say its easier to earn more perks defending then just from the reset.

I know a lot of knights moved to rooks this tour helped the inbalance but that just shifts the inbalance between the the knights and rooks. Also i know a few knights whos connections to the main this tour have been pure crap so they arent flying much.

The small fronts on most of the current maps make the number inbalance even worse by concentrating the fights at 3 or 4 fields. Theres no practical way for ht to enforce any "balance". Its left up to the sheeple to do that themselves. When i log on i dont ever checked the numbers. But as soon as ya get a look at the map is easy to see whats up.

Quantity has a quality of its own.

Perhaps the new maps will solve some problems, Wotan.  Concerning the sheeple, well, it's their $14.95 too.

Most of time from 8:00 p.m. CST to 10:00 p.m. or later, the Bish are outnumbered and fighting both sides with minimal conflict between the Rooks/Knits.

Don't recall hearing any of the Bish regulars whine like this ... truth is, I kinda like both sides attacking us ... more targets.

Curly when was the last time you remember your country losing fields every 10 minutes. When your country used its every single player defending multiple fields and barely managing to hold them..

And then you see your enemy whip up 20 extra men somewhere and launch a mission to an empty field which has nobody defending nor can it be defended without losing the other fields?

When was the last time you took up from a field knowing 100% sure that you will get attacked by 2-3 enemies at a time without hope of getting backup from your teammates since theyre in the exact same situation?

Most of us play to win regardless of strategies, and when for one reason or another your chances of winning go down for a long time, it turns into frustration and frustration turns to boredom and logging off the game.

I think the problem is that either bish players don't realise that it's not fun for their enemy to be facing double numbers constantly - or they know but they don't care.

This is why I have tried to preach about the importance of somekind of game balance.. It's ok if one country has temporarily numbers at times, but it's dead wrong to have numbers all the time for the other players.

My opinnion is and has been that collectively we all get more fun out of the game if we all have equal chances of walking out of a fight regarding to numbers. I know, though, that I'll have a double amount of bishops attacking me now who disagree me totally. Just like in the arena.

Whoomp. There it is. That's when I usually fly and that's what I usually see. Last night was the first time in a while that, while I've been on, we had "numbers".

Any blanket statement that the Bish "always have the numbers" just shows that situations vary a lot in the MA depending on your usual login time. Perceptions obviously vary.

Remember a few weeks back? There were posts in here about the Bish holding out the longest time ever in the SE corner of ND Isles. Ganged on two fronts, we fought on for DAYS. Whine, whine, sniff, sniff. Our lives were ruined. Divorce rates in Bishland skyrocketed.

How about Mindinao this week? Had the Southern part of the island, fought defensive for what, two or three days? Boo hoo, boo hoo.

No tearful texts on the BBS though in either case, were there?

The Bish get routinely ganged just like everyone else.

I really wish HTC would post the reset numbers; then there's be a little fact in this discussion rather than mere speculation.

It goes in cycles. Every country gets ganged.

Agree with both statements here.

As I sort of hinted at before, the first one might be one of the reasons so many people like to be Bish. The country is pretty relaxed and the BBS isn't full of reports of mass suicides amongst our players whenever we lose a reset. Our country channel doesn't totally break down into "woe is us" either.

But then we're all just a bunch of clueless Bish quakers with no idea how to really play this game. We have no honor, we have no pride. We can't even spell "strateggiiee" and we think "organization" is when somebody has a sex change or something. I've seen Bish actually take a head-on shot, I've seen Bish shoot chutes. All of us ONLY fly Spits and Niks and when we buff, we buff from 47K using the "unlimited ord" option from HTC ($3.95/month extra, available only to registered Bish). We never engage unless we have 10 V 1 and alt on you.  Oh, yeah, we'll steal your beer and your girl when you're busily engaged, too.

Some day we all hope to be noble and pure like the Knights who only fly C202's or the Rooks who always formally salute an opponent who yells out "bingo fuel" and then let him return home. Guess we just haven't reached that level of evolution yet.

But right now we're just enjoying ourselves like a bunch of clueless dweebs.




Do you guys ever wonder why people DON'T join Rookland or Knightland?

Hblair's boys have done it.  They are rook.  I see the Rooks attack bases from time to time with more than 30 pilots and can you say "Ripsnort mission"?

I would bet most bish don't look at numbers and don't care.  I login, look for the fight and get in there.  What I find is that there is a place where a large scrap is going on and it is hard to get a shot amongst the many friendlies, or you go somplece else and get ganged by the enemy.  I rarely find a happy medium.

This is why I have tried to preach about the importance of somekind of game balance.. It's ok if one country has temporarily numbers at times, but it's dead wrong to have numbers all the time for the other players.

Is there any way to track numbers for the entire day?  I have  ajob and cannot login evcery hour to check them.  From what I see the numbers during the day are more even and actually leave Bish outnumbered.

The best idea I have is to have HTC code the newbies to join the rooks, or knights when they first login.  This is why I am Bish, because that is where the game started me and many of these Bish helped me out.

I suppose it is cyclical to some extent.   We recently went knights and for some reason end up fighting the bish a lot more.   We never used to fight the worshipers of the dildo icon if we could help it... They were simply no fun to fight... very... "timid"..

Last night tho....  we fought the dildo worshipers at A1 and had a blast... Hours of great furs with lots of planes... Only one fluffer took out the fuel one time in an attempt to grab some attention for himself..  

The new dildo worshipers are a lot more fun to fight than the old hands.  I would say that it has a lot to do with the large amount of new players.

Guys....it's war...it's not fair and we get our turn at the hard times.

Some of you sound like socialists...let's keep it even and the same for everyone kinda thing. I would rather be outnumbered than have the game manipulated in that way.

When the big maps get here, life will change, you'll see:) Until then, try and show some moxy and stop whinin so much...it's so unbecoming:)
