Now I know why you are the man you are Elfie! The A's of the early 70's were the hippie pinko communists of baseball. They had beards and handlebar mustaches and probably sacrificed small animals in the locker room. They had some epic battles with those upstanding Americans from Cincinnati and Los Angeles though.
