The Kuebelwagen was the military version of the Volkswagen Kaefer and served very well in the Wehrmacht.

In my life I had a Volkswagen Golf during my university time and later some BMW´s before I got my actual car - a Mercedes 300 CE.
My mother had a Volkswagen Kaefer/Beetle and drove us with it every day to school.

And although I like my actual car, especially its speed on the german highways where no tempo-limits exist

, but I will never forget the fun I had in this time in the old, slow but extremely reliable Beetle.

So I would also nominate the Kaefer/Beetle.

Yep,..Lucas electrics earned thier reputation.

Although the new Jaguar XK8R is a pretty sweet car and probably the best looking British car ever made.

The Beetle is without a doubt the most enduring car ever put on the road, in terms of its style and production longevity. To earn money in high school I used to build custom dune buggies in Corpus Christi, TX. The simplicity of the Beetle's design was amazing and yes, the heaters were a weak link.

The 427SC Cobra,...what can ya say that has not already been said. Fast is not fast enough,..just about covers this car. I would call this a "landmark" car.

If I did a list of top 10 cars that made a difference (here in the U.S.), it would go like this:

1. Model T
2. Beetle
3. 427SC
4. Original Pontiac GTO
5. Original Chrysler 300
6. Original Corvette
7. Original Thunderbird
8. Dodge Superbird
9. Mustang
10. Camaro

Gotta agree with this.

The two overall greatest cars would probably be the model-T and the Beetle. Model T was built with revolutionary assembly methods making it possible to get the car built in a hurry and out in big #'s. The first beetles were designed, what?, 60 years ago? And they are still on the roads today. Simple, cheap transportation. I've owned two of them, and if you keep 'em in good mechanical shape the heaters will almost burn your feet.

Far as sports cars, pimp's choice is good.

So is the cobra. I also like '67 427 vettes. Only problem with vettes, they can't be driven daily or they'll just fall apart around you. Just like camaros.

Jaguar E-types are good to look at too, but I hear they like to break down daily.

BTW I think the Honda Civic is pretty "bug like" itself. It has been around a long time now and has a rep as a very solid car.

The Honda Accord really should be in a top ten list. Throughout the eighties and nineties it quietly set the bar for what a high quality inexpensive family sedan should be. Also, the early Jeep (willys?) was a revolutionary design in that it was the first 4-wheel drive just-for-fun vehicle and the forerunner of todays sport-utes.

Civic / Volks
Honda must have been inspired by Volkwagen
their first cars wheren't that reliable it came a way

Now days honda is quality

Just don't like its models and high rev engines
Those engines are just to perfect
