WFT? WHine this, whine that, CHRIST!!!! people been bending over backwards trying to help this game and for everyone that post something possitive theres 5000 negative post. I Busted my diddlyin bellybutton making maps with the terrain editor since the day it was released. I asked what people wanted to see, got VERY few replies. I guess the post was overshadowed with all the diddlying garbage and negativity on the diddlying boards. Sometimes I even wonder why people volunteer to do stuff, when all the're gonna recieve is a diddlyin huge bellybutton ache.

Anyone that has an oppinion,
before you post, think about picking up the editor and create you own diddlying map with strats and make a diddlying really easy map, and I'll see you in a diddlying year, and then tear it all to poop, with negativity and sarcasm, how i hate it so diddlyin much!

The CM team is working hard, and volunteer their own time, Cut em some slack.

Really hazed, make up a terrain for AH, make it a good one, real as you can get......maybe you will have it in a year, maybe 18 months.....and then NUTTZ and the others who have been making then for us in their own time can rip your map to pieces and make snide remarks, and YOU can get pissed off like NUTTZ is........then maybe you will back off and think before you type. Personally, I don't really care from one time to the next what terrain is in use. I go in, fly, GV, whatever I want to do, and go on. But you can bet your bellybutton I would at least try to make a terrain of my own before I started running off my mouth about how bad the ones we have are. But, I guess that is just how I am, seeing as I am "U.S.", and an "American".

Hazed,

You can complain all you want...no problem.

Your post is premature however since the CT TEAM doesn't unveil the new arena until SATURDAY.

After that your complaint may be submitted because right now it is just a "temp" set-up.

One more thing. I expect that the arena will see changes in planeset and terrian on a regular basis. Some people may like them...some may not.

Alright, please contain your laughter....but...Where can I find out more about the CT?

One of the problems facing CT is the fact that newer guys (like me) have no idea what it's all about!

It might be exactly what we are looking for, but we just don't know enough about it.

Could someone post a link where I can read up on CT?

The CT will be a historic "Main" arena, when you enter that arena, a pop up panel will explain to you what the CT is currently running regarding planeset, icons, radar. Thats it. Nothing left to tell except you don't have to worry about a LA-7 coming in at 200 mph closure rate while you're flying your Hurricane!

I hadnt read hblairs post on the new CT team.
All i did was enter the CT expecting to have my usual fix of historicly matched fights and got some handsomehunkED US navy vs LW in the uterus map.

All this other toejam about being ungratefull to the volenteers is irrelevent and BS seeing as how when i posted this I had no idea about saturday and the proposals by hblair WHICH btw are more in line with what i expected a CT or HA arena to be like.
Now that i have seen what hblair has said it sort of calms my anger somewhat.

NUTTZ I dont know where you got the idea that im complaining about people who make maps OR about the maps they have made.
IF you read what i said you will see that I COMPLAINED that the CT had the damn uterus map in it which I am quite sick of due to over use not because i feel its design is flawed.
As to the make your own maps crap, WHY on earth would i need to when there are plenty of excellent maps that i NEVER see used in AH?
NORWAY,MEDITERANEAN,LUZONS',STALINGRAD,PACIFIC ISLANDS,ENGLISH channel one that WAS in CT(even with bugs).
Put these maps in the CT before ANY of the MA ones if only for a bit of variety.

SO TO RESTATE MY COMPLAINT IN SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND TERMS SO YOU GUYS CAN ACTUALLY GRASP WHAT I ACTUALLY COMPLAINED ABOUT INSTEAD OF TYING TO PICK HOLES OR ADD YOUR OWN INTERPRETATIONS..........

1. DONT TURN THE CT INTO A FANTASY MA #2
2. USE MAPS OTHER THAN THE MA ONES
3. WHAT EVER PLANES WE USE MAKE THEM AN HISTORIC MATCHUP(i prefer LW but Im happy to use USAAF IF they fight the planes they did in WW2)

You fail to understand that the HA idea was what I wanted from AH from the very start.
when the CT arrived I did my damndest to support it and encouraged others to try it.I sat in there ALONE for hours at a time to at least make people look to see it.
I know its unreasonable but the CT suffered from a SEVERE lack of maintenance ie the map was changed once(?) and the rolling planeset idea was run through ONCE and left stuck in the late war planes.
we never got a chance to see the hurricane in a BOB type setting (admitedly its wrong hurry but I would like to have seen it in there)
You people are acting as if the CT was empty therfore there was of no interest and people like me have no say in how its set up because of it, and I explained why i thought this was so.

Laz,swulfe,mav,jabb WHOEVER, why dont you just stop with the DIG(retort) OF THE WEEK competition and instead say why YOU think the way the CT has been set is right for the CT? but then Laz never uses it does he?

Id like to know what the CT is going to be.
If its not historic or as near as is possible with the game then call it MA#2 and I simply wont care what happens in there. BUT after waiting months for HTC to promote it a little and hearing positive news in the form of CM staff being chosen my first taste of the NEW CT was a bitter pill to swallow.

flame all you like but i feel I have at least some right with all those damn hours i spent flying alone AND BORED trying to get the place going.A dull task i think you'll agree but sometimes I wasnt alone, and when things did pick up in there it was among the best fighting ive had.

Why didn't you simply apply or ask to be on the team that was developing things for the Combat Theater?

The best way to get things done, is to do them yoself.

Hazed, wonderful timing, you blew a wonderful hole in your foot. Had you been reading, and maybe posting in the Combat Theater, you'd see a great deal of discussion and work was going on in regards to it.
