A minor coding request...
« on: June 04, 2002, 05:28:34 PM »
I would love to be able to spawn on a CV, bail out and go for a walk on the flight deck or play landing officer, etc.

As it works now, you just fall right through the flight deck.

Thanks,

eskimo

Better yet...

Landing Officer can be a spawning position in the hangar like field gun position.

When you spawn you're on the fan tail in the LSO box.

You have a key you can toggle through the visible player icons like a check 6 key.  When you land on the player icon you want, it pops up a little window in their cockpit with a picture of you with your flags.  You have key mappings that let you signal with the flags and your view padlocks onto the players plane until he stops on the deck.  Then you view goes back to normal and you can select a new player icon.

I like the idea. Muhahha.

I like your idea too, but then again I asked for "A minor coding request".

Make it like a join request... "LSO asks if you want to be
guided for double the perks" accept or decline, if you
say yes, your forward view out of cockpit is replaced by
a view of just the LSO and his flags (No view of the flight deck :D)

If successful, the LSO gets the same perks as the pilot
that landed
Always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.

Heh.  The other bad one is when your manager comes in and starts a sentence with:

"How hard would it be to....?"
