Easy to prove you weren't "winging". Post your own film.

what is interesting to me is how i ended up below you last week with no speed no alt and no e. fact is I was fighting aknimitz below you. I killed him as you bounced me. I didnt ask mane to help me. if you review the film you will see that we were the only dots in the area and curly was in a position to be shot by mane, I was not. i was in a position to be shot by curly. mane wasted no time after killing curly to start dogfighting me.

the difference in your attacks is one of you is always in a position to be shot by the other. yet neither fires.

Just realized some may use RW. That of course would by itself imply "winging".

This is one reason I don't like honor based rules. Everyone that's competitive (and we all are in this game) is looking for an edge. Interpretations of the rules often lead to hard feelings.

Lazs I'll wing with you.  Haven't flown in this thing yet.  Sounds like fun with all the bantering going on.  :)

I winged with Argyll a couple of WWs back.  We happened to end up chasing Fester as a matter of fact, and as we were inching our way toward him Argyll shot my bellybutton down!  He says it was an accident...likely story.  Never trust an FDB on your own or your sheep's 6!

PS...Git yer bellybutton in there next week Drex.  I need another good pilot I can chase around the arena and end up getting killed by!

I swear that these threads are concocted by a Springer sitcom writer or some man behind the HTC curtain just to provide my morning entertainment.

Seems to me the logical thing to do would be to try a wingman WW.

The direct result of a free-for-all with unenforcable "rules".

not quite...you should hear the assassins RW in this event. it is mostly "cmere feker!" or "I owe you" things of that nature. nothing like "get this amazinhunk off my 6" or anything like that.

i myself did notice that nimitz and curly were winging. i dont have a film and i cant prove it. thats why im not as vocal about it as fester. but i find it kind of od that as soon as its just me and nimitz around that when i engage nimitz curly comes out of nowhere and kills me. fester saw it, he was in my plane, i saw what happened to fester when it did...i was in his plane. but for the simple fact that i dont have any film is what kept me quiet.

that is all

Curly/Nimitz killed me, too. So? If it had been Mighty1 and me, we would have done the same thing. It isn't that big a deal IMHO.

See, Nimitz and Curly have admitted it. Have we heard a similar confession from others? Not many. I guess we can all close our eyes and pretend there isn't an elephant standing in the room, but it's there nonetheless. Who cares? Admit it, open it to teams. Save yourselves the heartache.

Actually Kieren, I have suggested that there be something along the lines of "Teaming Tuesday" for this type of 2v2 event.  But this all goes back to the inevetible problem.

Pimpjoe, I can *ASSURE* you there was NO winging with respect to you.  What round are you talking about?  I have film from all three rounds and have watched them ... I guess I missed the part where curly bounced you just as you engaged me.  Sincerely, the ONLY goal curly and I had this WW was to make sure Fester died for his BS antics last week when he winged with Mane.  Dont believe me that he winged with Mane?  I know MANY pilots that Fester has asked to wing with BEFORE the events starts.  Out of respect to those pilots, I will not give their names.

PJ, the Assassins and AK's are two very different squads with some very different members.  First of all, there is a big skill difference between a lot of the members in my squad with regarding to ACM.  What pleasure would I get shooting one of the less-advanced pilots down?  The Assassins, seem for the most part, to all be kinda in the same league.  Zig and hb seem to certainly be the best, but there are a LOT of very good and competitive sticks that have been around much longer than many of the AK's.  There is no need to get into here, but I will say the AK's to no pride in shooting each other down.  That is why curly and I usually take off at different fields OR go in different directions.  It would be impossible for us not to try to save each other and avoid engaging one another.  We just choose not to put ourselves in that situation.  We did this time for some retribution.

But I have to admit, I'm with Kieren on this one.  It is impossible to do away with some of this stuff.  This is KING OF THE HILL - kill or be killed.  I had this idea of not engaging ANYONE if they were already engaged when this thing started.  After all, I thought it only fair 1v1, best pilot wins, and moves on.  This VERY quickly backfired.  In fact, if I remember correctly it was 2 assassins that took care of me.  I was engaged with one and another got me.  Was I pissed?  Yes, but not because of your tactics.  Because I chose not to engage, or cherry pick" other pilots.  That changed then and there.

Its a game, enjoy it.

Nim

PS
PJ, I find that somewhat interesting.  You were in Festers plane?  He in yours?  During these ridealongs, were you guys giving each other 6 calls?  Or just looking straight ahead?  Perhaps taht would explain why I was getting join requests from Fester as I was killing you?

Arnold Schwartzenegger, Commando.

As far as the join requests are concerned, totally juvenile.
