downloading profiles

Thanks for the replys. I have tried to unzip them myself SLAP, I did this before I found Foxy's directions. I tried your file Slap as well a few others. They unzipped ok, but when I tried to load them into my cougar they didn't show up in the joystick file folder where I unzipped them to. Hmmm I've been thinking (which is usually dangerous lol), it could be that foxy tries to unzip the files with its programmed command, then that dam window pops up about buying the program or trying it out (cause it is a shareware version), then foxy gets mixed up and doesn't know what to do and sends me the error message. Hell I spent all these bucks on cougar, I'll just buy the dam winzip and try again, I will post the results in case someone else is having a similar problem.

So, I take it you got your Cougar installed then?  What did the problem/solution turn out to be?

My puter wasn't recognizing the cougar at first, it kept showing up as an unknown device. I just kept trying to install it, then at one point it asked for my windows98 disc. After that I guess it picked up the correct drivers, cause then it showed up in my windows control panel and the HOTAS software saw it also as device ready. Only thing now my puter wont run my lexmark printer fax machine which also is USB, all very confusing since I have 3 USB ports. As far as FOXY goes I still cannot unzip profiles I download from here or the net thru FOXY ( and yes I DID buy the dam Winzip program). I have to unzip them first then put them in the joystick file piece at a time. Meaybe I'll just go in the game and assign some buttons or hats thru there. I just don't have the time right now to learn to program the stick. Thanks again for your replys ALL!:p
