uh-oh, Germany awaits.

Then again, I didn't think the USA would have beaten Mexico.  It seems the tougher the opponent, the better team USA plays.  Hope that holds true against Deutschland. :)

win or lose, this is much better than hardly anyone expected of the USA in this World Cup.   Along with Korea, we knocked out a dark horse favorite in Portugal.  We tied the host in a very tough match with one of the best, if not THE best home crowds I've ever seen in a World Cup match.  We bounced back from a Polish spanking to shut out a Mexico team that had been playing very well in group play.

I don't expect us to beat Germany.  They have all the advantages going into it, except one (get to it in a second...)  Germans have two extra days rest, the experience of being deep into many World Cups as a country, better holding, better in the air, decently matched on speed tho maybe the US has them in speed/fitness.  What the USA has is no pressure.  They weren't expected to get this far.  Quarterfinal appearance is a success for this team.  Germany has expectations to compete to win every World Cup.  The pressure is on them to produce the result.  It's not much of a factor, Germany is full of professionals.  I love watch Germany play and win, but not on Friday!  ;)   Go USA!!!

I sure would like to see a Spain - USA in the Semi-finals ;)

Anyway, it's quite an achievement getting this far, so congratulations!

This was long time ago. I fear Germany is NOT Germany anymore. I think USA have really good chances to beat us. Anyway to the US-boys.

Ain't it great to be the underdogs.  Nobody expects you to get results so when you do it's all the sweeter.

Ohhhhh say caaaan yoooouuu seeeeee, byy.........

If you watched the game in the middle of the night, are you an official football fan or a band wagon jumper :)
