Thank you thank you!  I know I won the vote for favorite pilot.  I mean who else would show up with a c47 full of scantily clad carribean hula chics whenever someone calls for a "Buff"?

DSICOD!!!!! That's who!

I'll list the guys that, after first pass I KNOW I'm up against a dangerous opponent. These same guys not only beat me more often than not,but are 'good winners' also. These are the guys that keep me coming back for more, win or lose.Sometimes I get so caught up watching thier gracefull moves, that I forget that I'm in a 'do or die'situation. Of course,I am swiftly prosecuted for the lapse!

Kieren-great pilot and gentleman

Mighty-same as above-good gene pool I suppose

EZ-This guy flys BnZ type planes more agressively than most fly Spits!

Camel-only had the pleasure a short while in beta, but the memory lingers

Fishu-(for a 190 driver, this guy took me to school in my own angle-fighting game.

Cavalier-beats me at my own game.

Racerx-ditto

Rod-ditto

Hblair-requires no explanation

Udie-have only flown against a couple times but it was immediately made clear to me I was about to perish!

All told,as an Ex-Warbird pilot,I am still amazed at the VERY high skill level of even the avg.pilots in AH.We have logged some SERIOUS hours of combat time!
There are many other great sticks out there, this is just my 'shortlist'of the ones that have burned themselves into my recall
Salute all that share this passion of mine.

I hate sounding PC, but the truth is I havent met anyone i didnt have fun with. One clown was throwing racial slurs around once. H T canned his bellybutton quick. He is about the only bad memory I have.

 On my special list.

HB. he,s and old ACA pal.

 torque. best shot ive seen.

 Kieren. My favorite hippy  .

Mitsu. Best TnB man Ive run into.

Bytor. Big fun. And a class act.

Pilots i admire (given that admiration and Skill are not always mutually inclusive) and in no particular order:
Mitsu, citabria, torque, act, stsanta, wardog, RWY, leonid, hangtime, TASLH (for continuely going up in the face of vultching and being a good sport), jekyll, eagler (for allways getting shot down by me trying to capture vehicle bases), hristo/stoickov (for amazing 109 flying), xtreme, manedew for all the assistance he gives, raxx (for the good natured kiwi vs kiwi fights), in fact all the pilots that give me a reasonable fight and dont start making excuses or moaning on chnl 1.

Sqauds:
 - 357th
 - 13th TAS
 - JG2
 - JG54

All those that i have shot down, and have shot me down <S>.

I have to vote for rude, even though he has been awol. Second for beemer who has taught me most everything I know to date. Third to ghosth , who spent his free time in the training arena helping me out. Appreciate the knowledge passed on. <S> to my peers. Special  salute to all 13th tas. These guys can go vertical with anyone in AH.

Hmm, lemme see.......

Well to quantify my pick, I start with the fact that there are alotta GREAT simmers in here, but when we get down to admiring people I don't judge a gamers' skill, nearly as much as his ATTITUDE.

Seems we sometimes forget this is a game, and that we are here to play together, to make each other welcome, to enjoy ourselves by escaping our REAL LIFE commitments for a few minutes or hours, and mix with others who share our intrests, hobbies, and passion for Warplanes of a by-gone era.

That being said, I admire Argyll.

Earlier this year when I switched over from WB, at HBLAIR's request, we were just two guys from our old squad, alot of times I was online alone, tryin to learn the AH world, and I sorta bumped into Argyll from time to time, he always had a positive attitude, usually greeted me before I saw him, and was ready with a "WTG" even when it wasn't really earned on my part.

He made me feel good, and this gave me the feeling of welcome to AH, as well as feeling that I was an accepted member of the AH community.

Since that time I have tried to emulate his behavior, little things like returning the greeting when new guys type their 1st HELLO, and trying to give a <SALUTE> and some sorta positive remark after every sortie to those I mixed with. This way I hope the comraderie will spread, and allow people to enjoy the game as much as I enjoy the game.

I agree milnko....I've known Argyll for 25 years....and I admire him for a number of reasons.

What you wrote about is true Argyll....he'll give you a hand anytime anywhere!!

I admire pretty much all that were mentioned - there aint a day goes by one of those guys don't teach me a lesson

As the Blue Angels say...."I'm just happy to be here sir!"

Wow! I am flattered by the kind comments... let me add a few that stick out (but by no means is the list all-inclusive):

Mighty1- my brother and the guy that makes me laugh harder than anyone I know.

The entire CM and Training corps- we've spent a lot of time together, and the trip has been great.

By-Tor- just as he said of me, he is one of those guys that makes you feel great win or lose.

Exile and Mason22- what a great ladder we have, and many other things you guys don't even know about. Great combo!

HTC crew (et al) for not only creating this sim, but putting enough trust in the community to allow us to impact directly the course of the sim (again, in many more ways than most of you know).

Finally, the community itself- sure, there are the occasional tiffs with personalities, but all-in-all it's a great place to spend one's spare time. Like easymo said, the truly offense ones never stay for too long (or they clean up their acts!). I have many friends from all the sims I've played here, and I have also found new friends from sims I haven't played. It's been a great melting pot, to be sure!

Vadr....
Torque.....
Fariz....
By-tor....
Kieren....
Mighty1...
Ghostp...
Saw....
Ripsnort...
3-fingers (a true tanker)

I admire flight sim talent who remember that this is just a game, as well as pilots with a gentleman's class....

Hmmm...in torque's case I forgive him for the class part, but he makes up for it in his humor....

Regards,
Badger
