We don't have fan violence during the game...its only after a city's team has won a championship, then just about everyone under 30 comes out of the wood work to burn their own neighborhoods down...LOL! :)

In LA we only burn cars.

many americans like soccer.

the rest of us aren't affraid of it.  we are bored by it however.

don't feel singled out I'm bored by just about any sport involving a ball.

but as for my particular reasons for being bored with soccer, let me give you a breif summery of what i see when i try to give soccer a chance and watch a game.

will never forget a coach walking down the hall bouncing a soccer ball in a small se texas town. he was almost in tears as now we had to play the new game since the injurys from the phys ed tackle football had gotten out of hand. and this sport was mandated cause it was cheaper and less violent. ( this was when if you started a fight there was no attempt to stop it if they were even match, both partys got whiped afterward but men had the right to fight )

after about 50 punctured soccer balls they gave us our foot ball back . and we had to play flag football.


soccer just aint violent enough for us. and and a game where being 400 lbs is no advantage at all is just alien to us.

In the US we only play soccer until we get old enough that the authorities will let us play tackle football.

he grew up here in sillsbee with his brother patrick . sweet guys but really really big . ( they have a uncle that makes mark look small if you can believe it.) i was their troop leader for a while. in boy scouts. we were all fat as hell and quite happy. all 3 grew up huge. they much more so than me.
