On a more serious note: I'm really really glad HTC has decided to police the area a little more both here and on the bbs. Channel 1 has become a cesspool of adolescents crapping themselves in public. Its become epidemic. I feel its materially damaging AH. You see far too much of this:
ANYONE who dared shoot this guy down was a cheater, a HO, or a gangbanger. I only wish this was an isolated incident. Its gotten so bad you can't even shoot anyone down without being accused of cheating or of being a (LA7, P51, Spit, Niki, Chog) dweeb. Constant, endless whining about numbers imbalance. I can't imagine the kind of impression 10 minutes of average chan1 traffic gives a new customer on a two week trial.
Have you ever heard of the “broken window principal”? If a building has a broken window that is not tended to and fixed in a reasonable amount of time, soon the rest of the building gets trashed. Its like people assume that since that first window went unattended then it must be open season and anything goes. They assume the owners don’t care about protecting the property.
I think HTC needs to set a “minimum” standard of behavior both in the arena and here on the bbs. Their customers ought to be able to fly in the arena they are paying for and be able to shoot someone down without being verbally assaulted every time they do so. I think the “broken windows” that can’t or won’t control themselves should be muted or banned. I think HTC needs to protect their property.
This isn’t directed to you specifically LLB. Just my thoughts on the arena in general.
