I would figure people would change up planes ,BUT stick with axis OR allied rides. I see that many people enjoy flying BOTH axis AND allied rides for diversity. Good to see that.
My main choice is the bf-110
Question: at what time did Messersmitt start building them, I thought there were Me-110's???
My second choice is either the La-7 or the P-47 d30.
( although my N1k2 sits collecting dust)
Those posted that choose Allied AND axis rides as choice could you explain WHY you choice your rides, and reason? I'm just wondering.

I never had any "brand loyalty". I select aircraft based upon the following factors:
1) A particular requirement. For example, to intercept bombers I might select the Bf-109G-6 or the 109G-10, with full weapon loadout. Perhaps I'll take a P-47D-30 with drop tanks and hang out at 30k for an hour, hunting Buffs. For Jabo work, I will select based upon load and expected opposition. For a fighter sweep I'll pick based upon the distance to be covered, balanced by performance as well as the particular style I feel like flying, angles or energy and so on. I might select the P-51B, or Yak-9U or Fw 190A5 or even the C.205.
2) Lastly, I will sometimes select based completely upon whim.

I fly everything, some more than others. Some days a Dora strikes me as being fun, some days I'll have a hankering for the Ki-61. Hell, I'll even take a Stormovic just for the fun of furballing with it. The wonderful diversity of AH allows me to fly something different every day, and still accomplish my mission goals. Over the weekend I had a ball flying the Bf 110G-2, attacking hordes of Knit GVs. I especially like to use the N1K2 for base defense against GVs. It can haul 500 kilos (1,100 lbs) of bombs, 800 rounds of 20mm and can be pressed into very effective service should the field come under air attack at that same time. I would become bored flying the same aircraft day in and day out. So, you never know what you'll see me in next.
My regards,
Widewing
