we'll prolly find a very diverse set of opinions on p51d damage modeling... here's mine.
the tail.. in particular the vert stab is incredibley poorly constructed by demented dwarves using metric tools and sae fastners.
And, something is obviousy incorrect about pixel tensile strength back there.. possibly the ponys silver tail pixels are more fragile than blue or green ones...
...in fact the right angle silver pixel strength at all the pony's right angle intersects are suspect... the wings virtually (pun intended) leap off the plane when they pass anywhere near a single .303 bullet sprayed at 'em in a snapshot from d1.3 or, for that matter every time another enemy planes makes a close HO pass, misses every shot he squirts at yah, only to have yer cheezey silver pixel wings plucked off when you fly thru his wake turbulance.
in addition, the planes control surfaces are obviously built by fishermen... trolling thru a MA feeding frenzy in a pony always results in leaving behind bright shiny defective silver pixel aileron, elevator, rudder and flap parts as irresistable fluttering descending lures for the kill stealers and bottom feeders..
All negative commentary on the non-existent physical strength and durability of the p51 aside, i think it's the most patriotic of the USAAF entries, and in fact they can often be seen streaking the skys of the MA with stirring 4th of july-like flaming descending wingless fuselage skyrocket displays..
on the other hand, we all know it's radiator and prestone cooling system, coupled with it's magnificent self leaking fuel tanks and seemingly immune to longevity oil system are the finest in arena play.
It really is a shame the dora's radiator is so damn sub standard.
Kurt Tank should be shot.
