My post is not intended to bash Cita, its only to point out a "lesson learned"...haze each other, but haze in fun.  Give the guy who just pissed in your wheaties a big , then go piss in his Wheaties the next sortie. I know from my experiences in the past that I haven't been exactly a gentlemen either, but I've bitten my lip...and carried on. Lets all learn from this bad experience within the community.

You should see what he said when a Japanese player shot him down.

He has been pretty nice to me the last couple times I got him, one word insults only.

why is it that some people will see a "skill" as a reasonalbe excuse for an unappropriate behaviour ?

I've known Cit from WB back 3 years ago. He's a good pilot, but this sort of language has no place in any online game.

Did all of this start with the post on the BBS?  I noticed ever since he got banned for that, he'd been in a pissy mood.  Or does this go beyond my large(cough) field of knowledge? :D

ain't nobody's biz but HTC

it's there company/game and can do what they want with it when they want to

you think they "owe" us AH? It's a privilege to be able to play it, a perk that can be rescinded at anytime by its owner

Fester became almost an icon in AH. No matter how he did it, IMO there is fester-era and post-fester-era of AH.

Ya know..........IMHO ......HTC developed the best online flight sim for people to enjoy.  Enjoy means have fun.  Some take this wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to seriously.  I guess it's male hormones ;)  or sumptin'.   If one is going to take this so seriously, a venue designed so that the user could have fun, methinks it's time for those who get upset about getting shot down in a Sim ta take a break, think about getting upset over a game........and maybe......maybe they'll just get out of Aces High what it was designed for, fun, and friendly competition.  Last time I looked after ya die here ya get another plane!  :D

I will just say hopefully that this was an act of frustration at being banned from the boards and that it is out of his system.  If not, I hope he does get banned, if only to force him to take a break and rethink what happened.

Oh well, he was on last night and from what I saw, he was acting rather respectful and nothing like the night before.

Fester/Citabria happens to have two things that usually come together. Loads of piloting skill and an enormous uncontrolled ego. An ego which provoked some "explosions" now and then.

But see, in my own opinion his ego is proportional to his skill, so I'll never find his behavior worse than that of some people who have an ego SEVERAL times bigger than their skill, yet they never get a tenth of the attention Citabria has always had focused on him.

He has payed the price of being the best. As the best pilot around everyone was keeping attention on him to see what he did. Citabria has been the main protagonist of some bad moments in #1 channel...but also he has proven a lot of times to be the best pilot since AH's started. He's always been a joy to fly with, and most times to fly against, too.

Other guys add nothing at all, and are way louder on #1 than what Citabria has ever been, yet they never get the same deal of attention, nor they will ever get it in the future.  I guess is the price of "fame".

As for the reasons of him being banned, I think he got kicked from the boards because he said something about the P40B added andd not a Ki43. Not sure about it, tho. In any case he has been banned from forums and not from the game itself. I've seen him online several times during last week.

Seems like an awfully long thread for a group that doesn't really know that he got banned.  All I've seen is he is "taking a forced break" from the bbs.

I say everyone should mind their own business.  This is an issue between HTC and one of its customers.  HTC is perfectly capable of resolving this issue without "input" from the peanut gallery.
