I drive my beetle for 7 years now
I really know my car
even a civic (a friend of my) driver was amazed by it's cornering however.
The 1303 got mcpherson suspension in front and the back suspension is a way different than the 1300 types althought since i drove in some off these to. U can do some nice stuff in them too

And yes 4wd is the best u can get but RWD is most fun IMHO

The problem with the beetle is that it is under powered it can take 100hps standard no modifications neccesary

A car for the mass maybe but a concept car for the first porsches to
