Apparently we have an individual amongst us who does not have the mental capability to separate online squabbles, disagreements or whatever you choose to call them from RL.
Since yesterday, my email address that I use exclusively here at AH has been spammed with over 1000 emails, with 642 arriving at once. An attempt at a pop lock, which, with the advent of broad band, didn't work. Naturally, that email address has been deactivated.
As I stated in another thread, my profession is law enforcement in the computer related field, specifically computer crimes. Now, I am aware that spam, in itself, is not "illegal", yet. However, the suspect fraudulently used my email address, which is illegal.
I have been in contact with the network used to spam me, but being aware of the ability to hide oneself behind walls, this case will consist of alot of work.
So. After much thought, I've decided not to pursue it any further. I'm not going to waste my time. I have the ability to separate what is said to me by an online persona from my everyday life. In all my years of online flight sims, I have never seen such an immature display of behaviour. I never thought that someone in our community would stoop to such an act.
Go back to your RPG or your quake or your UO or where ever you came from you jerk!
