For the guys at AA how think it was the 1st online sim.. But dont really seem to have a clue.

The evolution of the online flight sim.

AW-DOS 1986/1995: started as CGA FE then SVGA FE. This has arenas setup in the UK, OZ and Spain. I flew in the UK & OZ arenas as well as the US arena (1989 to 1994) then moved to Warbirds.

Warbirds 1994/95: The guys flying AW-DOS though about putting an improved online sim out. Confirmed Kill/Warbirds. I flew Warbirds for 5 years. Another break out happened and the guys at ICI started on there own sim.

Aces High 1999: Look where AW-DOS has brought us  :)

I was one of the many beta testers for Fighter Ace. Comical and Arcadish i gave up on the beta when i found out it was going nowhere.

We have come a long way in the online flight sim area, and i can tell you firmly that Fighter Ace had nothing to do with it!

Dog out............

Arlo and Rotor would do well to grab a notebook and take lessons from these guys.

Westy

german warbirds (2.01) doesn´t exist anymore - at least not at the moment.  But we had also nice "contact" with the german Air Attack Crowd (AA runs an a server from Bertelsmann somewhere) when people began to do "advertising" in the other forum for the own sim... That was really entertaining 2 years ago  :)

It was rather chilish of you to tar us all with the same brush "retarded" i beg of you kindly not to insinuate such things. for one it is rude and highly condescending to those who do have specific learning difficulties.
and Two, i find it offensive in this instance.

We have not caused any trouble, and the only post i see anyone having real problems with is Kennys' which only denoted his own lack of information on the evolution of Online Flight sims, rather than the Entire AA communities.

i will itterate this point again for those of you who seem to think we have never played AH, or feel we are here to mock you.
"many of us do and have played AH, AH is itself a completely different style of game, we aren't here trying to extract the urine, or have a laugh at your expense."

thanks for the link. My son loved FA 1.0 and appreciates the info. AH was to much for him but FA 1.0 is right up his alley.
thanks again
