If there's still someone who hasn't use Coolbits...
1) Extract Nvidia.reg to your computer
2) Double click it -> Add to registry
3) Right click desktop, select properties etc

Well, at least I can read the "ok" part of that.  Is it a requirement in Finish to have "aa" or "uu" in all your words? ;)  I really like "kellotaajuus".  (Sounds like a fruit juice. :) )

My GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64 MB card at stock clock speeds gave me a 9460.  I haven't bumped up the memory and core clocks yet.  I did raise the CPU FSB to 136 MHz, giving me an XP 1947+ according to the bios (1636 MHz true clockspeed).  That gave me a 9550.  I think I can break 10000 easy by going to newer drivers, upping the FSB a little more, and overclocking the video card.

Well, this is what I've managed so far.  (286 MHz core, 584 MHz RAM - I haven't tried higher yet.)

Just tested with Nvidia's new 30.82 drivers: 8698 3D-marks.

Better points in bump-mappings and vertex- and pixel shaders but about everything else either are same or worse.

I'm using 30.82 drivers as well and DX 8.1b.  I'm wondering why my nature test was so slow???

My CPU is being reported too low though.  It's running at 1660 MHz.

Ok, here's core at 300 MHz memory at 600 MHz.  I don't know if I dare go higher:

Oh, I have 512 MB of DDR PC2100 ram running at CAS 2.5. (Switched to 2.5 to get to 138 MHz FSB, though I didn't actually try at 2.0.)

Without overclocking the CPU any more, this is all I can manage without graphical artifacts:

This was at core 303.8 MHz Memory at 594.0 MHz.  For some reason Rivatuner would not let me lock in at 600 MHz memory with the core above 300, the next option up was 621 MHz.  That gave me graphical artifacts.

In case you guys wanted my complete system specs they are:

Asus A7N266-C motherboard bios 1.001E, 1.05 Official nVidia chipset drivers
Athlon XP 1900+ overclocked to 1660 MHz (bios says XP 1990+)
MSI GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64 MB using official nVidia 30.82 drivers
512 MB Kingston DDR PC2100 ram (2 x 256 MB sticks)
IBM 75GXP 45 GB HD
Win 2k SP 3 (SP 2 is better btw, SP 3 fails to detect my external modem on occasion)
Direct X 8.1b
Maximum stable overclock on video card is 303.8 MHz core and 594.0 MHz memory

I noticed core300/mem600 is highest my card can go without different anomalities in screen.
I did try 305/610 but there were few artifacts visible sometimes.

When I overclocked my GeForce 4 4600, at 325mhz, 3DMark would lock up on the high-detail car chase.  Hard lockup.  If I went down slightly to 322mhz, it was fine.  RAM is running at 702mhz.

While Im intrigued how well that 4200 is matching my 4600, I confess to not really trying all the clocking and tweaks I could.  Namely because I like my machine a lot and dont wanna fry it  :)  I'll have to try bring some of the advanced settings off Best Image to Best Performance and see if I can dust Bloom  ;)

Either way, Jedi Knight and Soldier of Fortune look great with every detail cranked to the max

I'm really amazed myself how well my "cheap" video card did.  I think with a faster driver set (30.30s are supposed to be faster) and some RAM timing tweaks on my system ram I could get close to 11000.  I don't plan on trying it though, stability means a lot to me and I can't afford to compromise that trying to get a totally unnoticible performance increase.

Ok, I did one more run with the CPU FSB at 140 MHz, which surprisingly did not improve things much.  It looks like the card is now the limiting factor.  (The system is totally stable at 140 MHz FSB, at under full load running 46C, which is good enough.)

The bios reports my chip as an XP 2012+ now. ;)

I think only newer drivers or additional FSB overclocking is going to raise the score any higher.  (I don't plan on going above 140 though, the next step up on my system is 143 MHz.)

Zig, Torque has been around for a while now. His handle escapes my memory though ... oh wait, its knuckles.
