How'd you rate Maya ? I switched to it from 3ds max and I like it A LOT. Far superior in modeling and materials, so-so renderer. Animation tools rule.

Hristo I have also tried Maya 4, basically it rocks, the 3d brushes are cool, NURBS actually work (not like in 3ds Max where there still a bit dodge). I haven't had much time apart from playing with it though, as i've been busy tring to build up a 3ds max low poly portfolio.

Also are you and Voss proffesionals or part time modellers?

heres the fur demo I did from Maya 4,  also I think that alias/wavefront have released a sort of free demo copy of Maya so that people can learn it.

Heres my maya fur (fur is cool, you can brush it and everything :D)demo I did:

Hi Blank

Using Maya and max at my work for architectural vis and also as a hobby- doing all kinds of stuff ;)

After being a long time max user, I am simply blown away by what maya can do, and can do easily.

You can check out the MANY comparisons of Maya's radiosity with that of Pov at news.povray.org on the povray.binaries.images forum.

I recently got word that there have been over 10,000,000 downloads of version 3.5, so you might expect some slower access.
