You guys are making my case not yours... That is nothing like a furball and it is a perfect example of  "organized misssun by kewl doodz squad"  that the dildo worshipers are so proud of.

These gangbangs happen as a result of "organization" and/or a combination of 'missuns' and fields being too far apart plus... well.. it is a dildo worshiper thing anyway.

I have said many times... I don't like gangbanging or being gangbanged simply because it lessens my chance to get a kill.  Nobel furballers eschew the cowardly "missun" gangbang.

If you made landing a kill more important you would see more of the illustrated behavior not less.... the gangbanging you see is a result of fear not furballing mentality...   even the land two kills to get your name in lights feature has probly increased the "safe" behavior that is characteristic of "missuns" and the dildo worshippers in general.   You can make the arena so timid that we will all be bish.

That idiot deserves to get his bellybutton handed to him for taking off from a capped base.  I see a lot of ground damage - looks like the Bishops (as much as it pains me to say it :)) are doing a good job of shutting the scene down so it can be captured.

A healthy perk system and no perks awarded for not landing (aka getting kilt) would go along way toward force maturing the average dork player (aka pre-pubescent) and bringing angelic sanity to the devils phurball.

Or just make a "fun arena" (aka pre-pubescent) and an "serious" arena (aka mature adults) and see where the vast majority falls......kinda scary concept huh?  hehe

I should have read your post more thoroughly. You even state "I'm sure that even Lazs and his band of pro-furballers would not approve of this."

So color me stupid.

My apologies.

laz why do you have to always turn it around so it 'the other guy' everytime?

I put it to you that the furball mentality where people just hang around in groups about midpoint between bases that is by far the worst example of the gangbang attitude.

Organising a group to hit a base with surprise under radar attack and actually destroying a base is what this game is designed for.
CAPTURING BASES.
And before you start with the same old crap of the mission planners only hit empty bases I say UTTER roadkill. In the present small maps there are no empty bases!! at least not on the front line.Yesterday i did around 4 or 5 missions and not once did we hit a base that was empty.Usually its a burst through the cap defence then hit all the acks then bomb and straffe everything ready for the troops.
If you kill all the ack at a large base and youve bothered to organise it then DAMN right you deserve to get a few vulches as well. You've risked the acks and flak panzers to get there.
where as the guy hovering in the mid point between bases has done nothing to help the overall war or (generally) any of his fellow countrymen either, too many just fly on by when others are in trouble. Its like everyone is going lone wolf because the overall spirit of the game is becoming an arcade game. 10 guys chasing a lone con whilst this loner's teammates fly on by at 15k and keep climbing for their 'furball death dive' nearer the enemy bases.

Laz i dont beleive you never do anything other than furball.

you never go jabo or the larger fighters like mossies and bf110's??

man your boredom threshhold must be high cause i cant furball for longer than an hour tops! afer that i have to do something different like bombing/jabo/ground attack etc.
I need variety and i enjoy your so called 'missuns'.I need them to break up the constant lone wolfing , being gangbanged, overwhelmed in anything but the top 5 aircraft because all you see is spits/yaks/la7s/niks all in a huge mass ahead gets old real quick.

a29 perhaps?
« Reply #26 on: July 23, 2002, 11:09:19 AM »
it may not have been a29 but...

Yesterday at a29, the bishops were having a devil of a
time capturing it, knights were down to 3 bases and we
kept taking hangers and town down and get troops
there only to have enemy fighters roll in from another
field and kill them or Hangers / town would come back
up and we had to start all over again.

So is the pic telling the whole story?  we fought for air
supremecy, all the while trying to kill Hangers to help in
that task, we vulched (only people willing to be vulched)
till hangers were ded again, and when the fighters
would come from another base, some would choose to
dive into the low alt cap over the base.

We had a nonlinear water fowl problem with that
base!!! (We were attacking  that one base for 2 hours
and we still had no capture when i logged)

the Knights on that base defence

Wlfgng, lazs has stated repeatedly that he does not believe in separate arenas.
On the surface, I can understand some of what lazs has tried to say.  But like someone else said before, his delivery is what turns some people away from him.
Probably 98% of my time in the MA is nothing but flying fighters, and yep, I lonewolf it a lot, so I don't just go diving into a furrball.  Stupid IMO if you don't have squaddies with you (which lazs apparently does most of the time) and I usually don't (my fault).
I would probably lean towards laz's side of the fence, if it weren't for one major thing:  lazs is intolerant of anyone else doing anything that might upset what he wants to do.  If the front moves his way, and there is a furrball going on that he is enjoying, anyone who interrupts that is committing a major offense to him, or at least that is the way he expresses his feelings.
This game has never been and will likely never be just exactly what any one person wants.  But......when you sum it up, in all it's parts, it has something for everyone, and that is what makes it so great.
lazs's hostility toward anyone who doesn't agree with him, well......it's kinda pathetic.  He seems to have closed his eyes to anyone else's likes or wants, forgetting that this is a community of players.
Thank God HiTech and Pyro have everyone's interests in mind, not just furrballers, not just strat folks, not just GV lovers......right now, they are trying to strike a balance, and IMO, they're doing a pretty damn good job.

Lazs can't go to the DA because of his loyaly to his sim
country, he MUST do his part to help his country
capture bases and win the war...

Flying endless hours of fighter sweeps in his mid war
f4u-1, on the look out for enemy fighters, so the the
job of base capture can go on with less hindrance.

lazs, for doing the tedious job well for his country
day after day in the same plane
