GVWR is the Rated weight, not the actual weight. Think of it as "how much the trailer CAN weigh". Actual dry weight is much less, IIRC that unit is around 10k.

There are class A's with a similar garage design. One company even includes a mini-cooper in the back. Here is a Class C that 4 Winds makes on a diesel chassis.

But...14000+ pounds GVWR?  Um...wtf do you use to pull that thing?  Seems like even a one-ton dually would be overmatched.  I don't think I can afford having to go to tractor-trailer driving school! :)

We'd actually been looking at class A motorhomes, 32-35 feet.  We'd have to put her show booth display in underfloor storage, or keep it in a tow vehicle (get a small pickup/wagon/hatchback as a shuttlecraft--fortunately, selling jewelry means she doesn't need a huge display).  But in any case, we're still in the seriously exploratory stage.

Thanks for the link, that's some nice stuff you guys make and sell!

Moose, There are at least 2 duallies out there that can haul 14k lbs. That would be about the max for one and about 1k lbs under for the other. It depends on what you get for the truck equipment too. At least one company that makes semi tractors has goten the news that RV'ers are looking for more capabilities. Freightliner makes a scaled down tractor that fits the bill up to 30k lbs trailer weight.  Look at the FL60 model. There are used ones out there at a SUBSTANTIAL savings. Some folks are converting class 8's (full semi tractors) to rv use. Power tools!!! :D
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Hey it’s good Funked and Midnit are learning the conservative mantra ”I’ve got mine so diddly you too”

I’ve got a small ranch on the south point of the Big Island bought and paid for.. I’ve got a fishing pole, Winchester 30.30 and skinning knife so I too can say ”I’ve got mine so diddly you too”
Who needs a good economy I’ve got mine.

Midnit, hope your selling as many big ticket luxury items this time next year.

Well, let's see...

"Hey! you've got yours and I want to take most of it away from you since I've been sitting on my butt and I don't want to work to get what you worked to get. And fox you if you don't like it."

Which do you like?

Are these the only two we have to choose from?

:D

Nah Toad, my mantra is "I got mine but I want some of yours too." :)

MT is right about the RV market tho. We camp almost every weekend (just got back from Lake Almanor) and reservations months in advance are required at virtually all California campgrounds, public or private, and some of these rigs I see parked in a camping space have GOT to cost major bank. Don't worry, though, once us PETA activists close down the forests and oceans from human intrusion, thus killing the RV market, MT will be back on welfare with the rest of us.

Wow 10Bears did you have an extra large bowl of amazinhunk Flakes this morning?

All I'm saying is "I'm getting a little something and so are most of the people I know and observe in this region, so maybe some of the whining about the economy is just people using statistical measures to create panic in order to sell advertising and/or achieve partisan political goals."

Since freakin when is "business is good" a conservative mantra? And since freakin when am I anywhere near conservative? I'm not gloating, nor am I getting rich. I'm just saying that the media perception of the economy may not be the actual case. That is all.

Conservative??!! Might as well call me a NAZI baby killer fer crise sakes!!!
