Example:
Your flying along, And you see some dots...As they grow in size you stare them down good...They start to appear. Seconds later a your enemy screams at you head on. You turn to engage, but you cant see where he's at. You twist your head all around in every angle but cant find him! Seconds later you see him closing on your six, its too late.
This was a common occurence for fighter pilots that did not survive WW2.
