Like me job?

Sure

Like the fact we haven't had any raises, reviews or anything that hints at the company interested in the welfare of, or rewarding us for our hard work in the past 2.5 years pisses me off.

To help get by, I'm working a second job at night (at UPS).

Working 12 hours a day kinda sux.

Now back to submitting my resumes  :D

I would like it, if I DIDN'T have to work!   It's alright.

Well as taste tester at the Glenlivet Scotch Distillery, and the person responsible to "interview" all company calender models prior to approval, I feel fulfilled in my work.

If only I could earn more than this measley 250k.

My grandfather preached, "Whatever job you do, digging ditches, building rockets...do the best job you can while doing it...it matters not what you do, it matters how you do it."

I've like every job I've ever had.  I've made the best out of it.  I'm a very optimistic person when it comes to performing a job. My biggest problem is I take a task, simplify it, save the company money, then I get bored because the task has now become "automated".  Boredom is my worst enemy. I've literally changed careers 5 times in 27 years.  Working for a large company allows you to do that.

Nothing like being in business for yourself. Can be very satisfying and frustrating, often at the same time. :)
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

I'm self employeed so I don't have a job, I have a career. Of course I love it or I'd do something else. The only part of all this I don't like is the collecting money part. Kewl part is I'm on reduced hours for six weeks every summer.

I actually do, as hard as my company tries to make me hate it sometimes...  For my birthday last week, they fired all of my friends in the office - some of whom I'd worked with for 5 - 7 years - to outsource their jobs to India where they can get 3x the people for 1/3 the money. :(

I used to enjoy my work but now it's hell. Now they pay me more which is about only thing which keeps me there.

In next spring they will shut down our factory and first I was thinking to stay in company and move 100km north to work in a new factory but after couple, not too succesfull, meetings with my boss I sent a email to a guy I know in our rivalving corporation.
Next monday morning that guy called me and told they will have a open job in their corporation in next spring and he also did ask if I would like to start in there right now or would I like to stay where I am until spring.
I'm getting a "golden hand-shake", splitted to my monthly salaries, so I said I'll be there in next spring :)

I like my job when it pays the bills.  When it doesn't, like right now, I hate it.
I was once told, and I agree to some extent, that the true test of job satisfaction would be if you would do for free what you presently get paid to do.  The theory being, you love the job and the monetary rewards are insignificant compared to the satisfaction you get from doing the work.
In that case, I would have to say NO.
Dealing with drunks, psycho's, doctors who think that "M.D." at the end of their name means GOD, family members who think they know more about your work than you do.........
I guess I am experiencing a lot of soul searching lately.  I loved my work last year, working on drilling rigs (yes, I would have done it for free if asked), but going back to the medical field has been trying to say the least.
I don't have the hardest job by any means, but I do think I am in one of the most underappreciated fields in medicine.
Man.......I miss the days when you could speak your mind on the job and not get fragged for it............

I used to like my job. Now I hate it.

All we get is parents slugging it out over their kids (roughly 2-3 such cases per week...great fun to read all the psychological evaluations about how the kids cry themselves to sleep, pees themselves, falls behind in school etc just because the damn parents cant agree on which one gets the kid 20 days a month and which one gets 10 days a month),
or guys beating the crap out of their girlfriends (and getting 1-3 months in prison...welcome to Sweden),
or old diddlying disgusting retarded motherf*ckers who molest their grandchildren or children (3 years in prison...for raping your own granddaughter..wtf is that...they should be taken out back and shot). If you are against the death penatly, you should try to sit and listen to a 12 yr old girl describe what granddaddy used to do to her from age 4 and up.

This job gets to you, it is very easy to get very cynical.

I used to think it was fun, but now its just depressing.

Like hearing a daughter go into a rage when she finds out her dad has a girlfriend on his unit......dig deeper and ya find out she and ole Dad have a spousal relationship and he's been banging her since she was 12......  and 2 of her 3 kids are his, and her hubbie is fine with it........made me wanna puke then, makes me wanna puke thinking about it now.
Or the 19 year old who can't understand why her mom gets upset just because she wants to go out and get drunk instead of taking care of her 5 day old baby.  And totally refuses to take care of the child, i.e. nursing it, changing it's dirty diapers, etc.  when she brings it in to the hospital with pneumonia..
At least last summer I could tell a guy what I thought and we could work it out verbally or otherwise, and there was not a meeting of the minds telling me how politically incorrect it is to tell someone they are wrong or mistaken.

Looks at  brochure for land up in the Alaskan wilderness..........
