GRUNHERZ,
I certainly understand that its ability to turn was not its best strength.
Speed is life, and that is something that the Spitfire MkXIV has that our current Spitfires do not.
However, the Spitfire MkXIV was only about 500lbs heavier than the Spitfire MkIX and COULD turn better than most aircraft. That doesn't mean it was a good idea to use it.
However, in the context of AH, where dying matters little, if at all, people will use its turning capabilities and the fact that it is a good turner, good diver, great climber and has good speed means that it would be a super plane in the context of AH.
The Spitfire MkXIV has to be a perk plane.
BTW,
I've been flying the Fw190D-9 and Typhoon MkIb lately and haveing good success in both. Neither could be considered turners. I'm not exactly addicted to turning.
