Saddam out!!!!

Sorry Saddam, but I fly for all 3 countries (remember, we have two accounts) and each country has its turn on the pedestal, and each has its turn in the bucket.  Depends on what time you log in, who is logged in at the same time, and who is offensive or defensive.

Basically, all countries are clones of one another...the winner is the side with the numbers.

End of story. :)

We all know numbers are meaningless Rip, but here you go:
  • The Rooks have 14697 kills and have been killed 13493 times against the Bishops.
  • The Rooks have 16128 kills and have been killed 14496 times against the Knights.

Seeing as how I can't remember the last time the rooks had numbers, I would say we hold our own pretty well.

I'll tell ya right now.  If I had been online at that time, numbers for Knights would have been one more.

Our squad flies Knights.  We spent a tour and a half for Rooks earlier in the year and well, it was pretty much the same over there.  Personally, I don't care which country we fly for.  However, I stick where the squad is.  Squad is Knight, so I'm Knight.  Don't care what the numbers are.  If it ain't fun, I go to the CT.  If that ain't fun, I log off.

So how many of those were the bug where the guy got 307 kills for killing a formation of lancs?

How many from the same Bish spawning 50 times with a tank to a spawn point camped out by a rook?

How many kills were awarded as an offensive country came swooping in on the VH, while a single Ostie took out 10...20 fighters? (I did that as a rook on Friday!)

Yep, numbers are meaningless.

Incidently, the last time I flew rooks (Friday?) it was a clusterfuk ;)  Like I said, everyone has their pinnicle, and their bucket ;)

Doh! The "flag" went up after reading your post ;)

Well Rip, I point to Sunday night. We were down to 12 fields. However, as our numbers increased to equal the Bish, but still 20 or so less than Knits, we gained 13 fields in two hours. Then, as our European contingent logged off, and the east coasters called it a night, the advance ground down. My experience is that given parity, the Rooks usually gain ground. Typically, for an RJO, the Rooks have anywhere from 150 to 200 players show up. RJOs always crush the opposition. Moreover, 150 players is the average Knit horde on any given night.

From tour 30:
The Rooks have 73314 kills and have been killed 71126 times against the Knights.
The Rooks have 86721 kills and have been killed 80106 times against the Bishops.

Tour 29:
The Rooks have 58411 kills and have been killed 56437 times against the Knights.
The Rooks have 75746 kills and have been killed 67202 times against the Bishops

I think that the numbers speak for themselves.

My regards,

Widewing

The B.S. flag was sweet!

However, as a squadmate of Goth's, I stand aside him.  I'm an average stick.  I have been in this for 5 months now.  I just wish people that whine about numbers (cough, cough thread starters) would shut up and let their actions show themselves in the MA.  I get pissed watching 10 rooks chasing 1 plane, but I know this happens on all sides one time or another.

I get in there, play, have fun, rile up the Bishes and Knights with some trash talk and ALWAYS get a .  They know I'm on there ot have fun.  Rip, Aztec, Rude, Snorkel, Sads and the countless others (except Fester) realize at a point that I'm am busting their balls a bit a leave it at that.

I'll get off of my soapbox.

Guys!

So, west coast Americans all joined the Knit Coalition now?

Well, in my case yes.  When I started AH I was assigned to Rooks.  I played in ignorant bliss until I started noticing posts about the great "imbalance" and how Rooks outnumbered the other two sides.  Wanting to be a good AH citizen I switched to the side with lowest number at the time I played.  At that time this was Bishops.

For a time I played happily in my Bishop role.  Then one week the whines began in earnest about how the Bishops outnumbered everyone else.  I checked the roster and found that Knights were horribly outnumbered by the other two.  In my youthful ignorance of the flow of the game, I did not realize that this was because a reset was about to happen.  So in an attempt to make the game fun for all I switched to Knights to give what little help I could.

These days I notice Knights often outnumber the other two combined when I am on.  But I am older and wiser in the ways of things now and know this will change before long.  Such is the flow of the game.  Besides, I like the folks I fly with in the MA (RR, WAR, ZKLR, glasses ) on the Knight side.  Not to say I didn't like the folks that were Bish or Rook, these are just the ones I'm used to these days.

If a squad or one or more folks I want to play with are on another side, I'll switch to join them.  Until then I'll ride the Knight wave.  When the balance changes and the Knights get the short end of the stick, I'll still stay Knights and just grin whenever I see screen cap of the numbers posted.

Wadke is a Knight and those kills he got are all Bishop. Aside from that, you have rooks who will continually respawn a camped spot, hell, I've done moronic things like that too. But, I pretty much take it at face value, Rooks own j00!:D

Dweebaroo (Saddam).  Is there an unwritten rule here, forbidding the capture of an "empty base"?

Incidently, "Ebb and flow" is a verb statement in AH since I've been here from Oct/99 to now...I've witnessed the Knights more than once go from 2 fields, and possible reset, to resetting the arena 10 hours later.  Once while I was online for a good portion of the day, and night.., Knights got 3 resets in 24 hours..does that mean we are better than other countries?  Hell no!  We just had the right folks online, had the right opportunities, and took advantage.

Color me Rook, Bish, or Knight...we're all the same, just not all at the same time ;)
