Does anybody remember the weekend of July 1st. One the sunday night when the rooks got the reset over the Knights.

what where the number again

Rooks----230
Bishops--150
Knights---130

the numbers where something like this, and the attack on the Knights started on the Friday evening, the Knights fought back Friday, and Saturday nights, and finaly lost on Sunday evening. Now on the Sunday evening, I logged in and the Knights where down to 4 or 5 fields, and still we Knights held out for about 4 hours or so.

Now I know there is a post about this week end, But I could not find it. But I am sure some other people remember it.

So we have to go back to July 1st to find a time when the rooks had overwhelming numbers?   ;-)
Imagine if things were actually balanced and we outnumbered the others every third weekend.

In defence of my 'whining,' people have to keep in mind theres a difference between the 'challange' of poor odds and the frustration of not being able to have any fun.

Wow.  This thread went further than I'd hoped.

I posted this in utter frustration that I couldn't fly what I wanted when I logged on, and when I grabbed a Spit V for base defense, the Knits didn't even try to fight.  Fatty, what was there to vulch?  We had no FHs and no VH after the suicide run.  They didn't precisely auger, but if they were trying to kill us, or live, I couldn't tell.

That said, I'd be shocked if the Rooks have won more than 15% of the resets since last October, and would not be surprised if they have won fewer than 5% of them.

Of the times I have logged on since October I have seen the Rooks with a significant numbers advantage fewer than 10 times.  Of the times that we matched, or nearly matched, the numbers of Bish and Knits has been dwarfed in comparison with the number of times I have logged on to find the Rooks massively outnumbered.  Call it a whine if you like, but it is also factual.

This idea about "everybody getting a turn in the bucket" is BS.  Stories of particular times when the Rooks had the numbers advantage are non-representive and suggesting such is simple propaganda.

200 of them, I think - enough for a Me-262 :)

Kind of makes the whole base capture thingy a little more important in the long run...

It just baffles me every time someone gets mad at how their opponent dies.

I don't get pissed when someone flies terribly in a dogfight, and I don't get upset when they can't pull out of a dive and auger.  But I'm sure it wasn't a mistake, and is part of the suicide respawn conspiracy.

(though in support of the conspiracy if there was nothing left to fight and nothing left to destroy you can bet money I'm hitting the first solid object I can find, gound included, too)
