.oh my God...it almsot made me leave,,,,,

I still cant beleive we had young men opening LVt doors to machine gun nests...

funny is i just wacthed it last night....my heart drops to see that...

I alos beleive the Paratroop  drop on Band of Brohteres was done EXtremely well..the Flak and tracers at nigth was ...well...Done very well....Seeing Goonys going down in flames w/ paratroopesr jumping out on fire..makes you never want to send any 1 to war....

Its very hard still for me to accept people saying..Well How many soldiers will this costs us??...you know each one of these guys has a family..truly a diddlying sad thing about this world....

Ying -Yang....

Jesus BGB, take Udies blood sugar MEDs for Gad's sake.

They took the beach, and then Europe. Steven Spielberg just made for film what he could as real as possible.

Guys fly AH P-47's and fight about scores. Don't flip.

LOL, I saw Saving Private Ryan with my girlfriend and when it was over, she threw up in the parking lot. Poor thing (some woman are tougher than others) I had no idea it was gona be that violent. Hehe, great combat scenes though. I liked the scene when an enemy soldier caught a 20mm shell and blew in half. Now thats what I paid 8 bucks to go see not like the thin red line movie for war wussies.

The two that really horrify me and let me know deep down that war is a horrible and brutal thing are:

1) The german film "Stalingrad".  There's many horrifying scenes (in the sewers, at a field hospital and house to house fighting) but I think the worst for me in that film was a bunch of germans in a penal battalion defending a position against a russian attack of tanks and troops (and the tanks looked like Real T34's as well none of this dressed up M48 crap you see in most WWII movies).

2) In "A Bridge too far" there is a scene where polish(?) paratroopers are dropped right in the middle of an SS regiment and are duly slaughtered as they are floating down by the troops AND the mobile AA they had.

YEEEEAH!!!

Great movie!!!

:):):)

I'll add Chapayev.

Suspence, when Anka can't reload the machine-gun, and White-Guards are marching with bayonets...

I doubt it's for real, but it's the most pathetic combat scene ever filmed. When Red cavalry comes and Whites run away dropping their rifles... And Chapayev with his sabre, wearing his burka and papaha...

That firefight with the blonde robot girls shooting their teats in the first AUSTIN POWERS film was  pretty realistic, too, don't forget that. :p

The post bank robbery scene in Heat

I think this is actually one of the few, if not the only except for Black Hawk Down where they use real tactics with covering/moving.

Saving Private Ryan and The Thing red line are also very good and so is We were Soldiers.
