Ruh roh.  I guess I better be careful.  Fortunately I know some southern Cali biker dudes who can protect me.  :)

Thx!  Yes it is fun.  The problem is that I'm going to get arrested eventually.  I've always little cars with 1.6 liter or smaller engines, and you can drive those near their limits and have fun without actually going too fast.  If you drive the WRX near its limits you end up travelling at ludicrous speed.

Nice pic Monk!!!
I need the stickers and the 300 hp motor and the roll cage and the super suspension and the composite bodywork too.  :)

IIRC some British company is manufacturing bolt-on kits for WRX. New exhausts, clutch, chip, air cleaner etc. It did cost something like 2500-3000$.

Nice toy btw, be carefull not to kill yourself with it :)

Although that car fits you Funky like Mathman in a jacked up extended Ford Expedition, be careful.

A guy at work damn near killed the crew chief taking him home. He was showing him just how quick those tiny little cars are, and wrapped it around a pole. He walks with a cane now. I think it's all wheel drive or something, and as fast as they are, it don't help come winter. Just saying.

I haven't drove a 4WD like WRX or Cosworths in winter but with a OffRoad car with 100% differential locks you don't wanna drive it in slides :D

I did read that WRX has viscous locks in center- and rear differential; how does it split power to rear and front?
IIRC old BMW X-models split it 60% rear and 40% front so car handled pretty much like ordinary 2wd.

Staga it has an open front diff, limited slip rear diff, and limited slip center fiff.  The zero slip torque split is 50/50, but as soon as the rear wheels start to slip, the center diff will send more torque to the front wheels, and vice versa.

hmm sounds kinda scary?

How do you know when it's going to oversteer and when understeer? Or is it best guess out of two?  :D

Funked, you sick puppy, I can see you now, the big ping pong ball helmet and all driving that thing at "ludicrous speed".

No cop could give yah a ticket with a straight face.

May the Schwartz be with you.  :)

Staga, it's not scary.  The car has 60% of the weight on the front axle.  So it has a natural tendency to understeer.  But if you trail-brake and step on the throttle, it will oversteer slightly.  A nice 4-wheel drift.  :)

The only unstable oversteer I have seen was braking too much in a turn, but it was very easy to catch with opposite lock.
