why do people fly the f4u1c and n1k2

800-900rds quad 20mm
n1k2 turns with anything and hangs on prop like a helicopter.
f4u1c turns with anything it cant outrun and rolls like a 190.
n1k2 is forgiving and allows the player to make mistakes and win.
f4u1c firepower allows the player to overcome ACM mistakes they may have made and win.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Yeah...  those things are undoubtedly true.  So?

The chog is here because Hi Tech likes it; he probably feels strongly that wars are won by huge, heavy, high powered, fast, American fighters with really big guns.  It's his flight sim.  People who don't like hordes of chogs (and I am squarely in that camp) should give up complaining- it's obviously not going to do a bit of good.  If we want a sim without unbalancing chogs- we should just go code our own... since that isn't happening anytime soon... we have to live in a chog world.

Hey I have got a great idea. Why don't we force all the new guys in the game to fly c202s. Then they can pay thirty bucks a month to constantly get shot down by the better guys like citabria. As a matter of fact, why dont we virtually guarantee they will have no fun at all. THen HTC will go out of business and you guys can create your own sim that 15 poeple on earth think is the greatest cuz it has no chog. Get a life.

I am COMPLETELY tired of all these elite pilots complaining about the C-hog. Here is what you are basically saying "Unless you have no life like me and can play aces 150 hours in the month, you need to have no fun and fly crappy planes so i can shoot you down. Don't even think about flying the good planes until you can fly the crappy ones, because you dont deserve to fly the good one!"

If you really want to improve the quality of flyers in aces, dont just constantly whine and bicker. Take it upon yourself to help them. Offer to show these newbies some ACM. Maybe becoma a trainer. Calling them dweebs will never convince them to try something else. If you can train them and get them into some other planes, maybe they will find things they like about those planes.

ANd because of the ceaseless whining, the JAAF gets the Ki-61(= C.202 with cannon) instead of Ki-84(= N1K2-J +20mph)...

Don't forget to spit on the people that fly them, while you're passing through.

I guess cause they want to. I sometimes get a little peeved at the tactics of many of the chog drivers, but then I think back to when I first started flying sims (AH beta) and remember how difficult it was to get a clean kill, so ho was the norm . You old beta guys remember the squeaking that went on about the
P-51D?.As far as the niki goes, I dont find it that much of a problem when Im flying my nancyboy plane <G>

Nice kill stats against the 3 most popular planes Cit.

SpitIX: 75 kills of, 6 killed by.
N1K2: 64 kills of, 14 killed by.
F4U-1C: 83 kills of, 16 killed by.

The 3 most popular aircraft are probably the 3 easiest aircraft to get kills in.  I guess players like getting kills.

This is nothing new.  I wouldn't worry about it.

There will ALWAYS be a few "best" planes in the game.

In WarBirds it was the Spitfire and the FW190-D9.

Myself, I find it fun to fly something other than the top of the line fighter.  I will always go for the second best gear and see how well I can stand up to the best.

So far I've been winning.  It teaches you all the right things you need to know.

Same thing, different game.

Hans.

Slap Slap Slap. Only thing purdier than a P38 would be a spitfire.
