Channel one, every sim has one.

I enjoy channel one and use it for to good fights, finding out who I fought when it was a draw, or throwing in a "funny" when it pops in the mellon.

It also can be used for talkin smack.

Channel one here has a decided lack of smack talkers. I really haven't seen one to tell the truth. A good smack talker is a pleasure to read.

There's an abundence of trash talkers here. Trash talking takes no brains.

What I see is that a fair amount of people here confirming their lack of brains on a nightly basis.

Thing is, they have no concept of how sad there attempt plays out.

Quite a few here have some years under the belt outta the school yard. Hell my kids have some years outta the school yard.

When your tits are no longer green, trash talk is a glaring admission to ones own lack of imagination.

And to broadcast that fact to the general population would...or should be embarrassing.

Saying "You suck HO dweeb" is a brilliant sentence. Quite alot of thought went into it, and everyone else really enjoys reading it.

Thats trash, thats not worth the read, that just fills up the buffer with Pap.

Talking smack takes some thought, and is a pleasure and amusing to read.

"Wow what a unique reversal barfart, you practice that ??" Is much better than "You suck HO dweeb"

Step it up a notch, let's grow.

Automatically type it when I pop into the tower when I first log in.

Which is sad, because I have friends on all sides I like to talk to, , and occasionally talk "smack" with. Silat is quite good at it.

No amount of encouragement will elevate "trash" to "smack".

It really is a shame there are so many that have to squelch ch.1. I understand why and am not debating that.
I'm one that gives out a ~~when I can ref. what I think was a good fight, win, lose or draw. Lately I've tried giving out ~~but no responces. Guess they had ch.1 squelched. Not going to bother any longer.~~~~

I see a few who squelch channel 1. I wish that was not an answer, as there are certainly a high number of times I log on ch 1 and stay there.
Quite frankly, there is no really good answer. People will be people. I see pilots who really get caught up in the moment and they express it.
In a perfect world, everyone would just respect each other and talk nice. It would be quite boring, but there is the other extreme, which should not be tolerated.
There is happy middle ground, and one day, maybe it will be found.

Apache, whether they are listening or not, please do not stop giving out the salutes.

We cannot hope to show new people how we would like them to participate without good examples. If all they have are bad examples, the situation will not improve.

I .squelch 1 first thing because chan 2, 3, and 4 text rolls off too quickly if I don't.
