One of the best things about the Flying Mongrels squad. Fly what you want when you want but have doing it. We have em all, Spitballers , Luftwaffles ,Runstangs.

My 2 cents worth,

You would get a kick out of his real name, lol.

I can't get stats to come up for   3./JG 2 "Richthofen"  (I am sure it is because of spelling or some such)

From what I read the 11th only flew p40's through the whole war:(

Whenever I fly the F4U; my squad's "historical" ride, the opposing forces keep trying to give me medals.

If I were in WWII I'm sure I'd be the most highly decorated Japanese pilot in the U. S. Navy  :p

Turbot, do like this: Go to scores on the HTC webpage, then push SQUAD RANKS. 3/Jg2 is second place overall rankings, can access the squad scores from there.

Sunking,

I think our "332nd" is a Tuskeege group, though "Flying Mongrels" is just invented (but represents our motely crew well.)  If we are talking Tuskeege though, it was a good time for me to start flying the P-51B last month.  I'm pleased enough with my P-51B stats to post here:  57kills/22deaths.

Calling yourself a true historical squad is kind of silly. Or true doenst mean the same thing in french. :)
you guys fly jugs and that cool. It adds to your fun and thats cool.
But that is so far from being a TRUE historical squad that it defies description.
Be proud of yourself if you like, enjoy your self and fill your boots. But there isnt a shred more truth in your squad then any other.

A true historical squad would be randomly assigned an aircraft to fly and a field to fly from and a mission to achieve and would have to achieve it. You would be randomly assigned a leader from the other players and if you didnt do what he said or keep him happy he would put you on latrines for a week.

There is nothing remotly true about any squad in this game.

pongo--

you may define "historical" any way you like, that is your perogetive.

What we are trying to achieve for our own satifaction is fly the P-47 in the spirit of the original 56 FG.  We are not trying to impress anyone, just have fun doing it.
