All I know is that that damn killshooter is funny stuff.  I blew myself to smithereens last night trying to steal a kill from Furious.  Of course, the real funny part was that I was in a 262.

Leave the killshooter the way it is.  Its the only fun I have in the game anymore (other than listening to the non-stop whine and chat room that is channel 1).

I hit a Lanc with a Hispano round that missed the La-7 I was blasting off his tail.  Didn't hurt my Mossie at all.

leave kilshooter alone, it the only deterent (a small one) to having guys firing over your shoulder in an endless burst of spray and pray.

You are the one responsible for knowing what you are shooting at. If you hit a friendly its your fault.

If HTC can have friendly planes fly thru each other but collide with the ememy then they can have nothing happen when you shoot a friendly but still have the kill affect on bogies.

sure it does,

If you think spray and pray is bad now get rid of killshooter. Its the only deterant we have to the 50 hosers.

Damage from killshooter is the same as damage from an enemy. Just when you score multiple hits  on a friendly the ks damage is focused on 1 spot on your plane.

We screw around all the time while in formation.

We shot each other with mg and never get damage. If you put a burst into a friendly all that damage will hit 1 spot on yourt plane.

You just have be carefull.

I sprayed lotsa rounds into guys in my squad. I never get 10x damage.

I put a few rounds from the pintle mg of a pzr into the tracks of a friendly flakpzr next to me one day.  On the 3rd or 4th hit I was back in the tower...  KS does weird stuff.

in a KS  there are 2 people involved and  2 responsible. but as it is right now only 1 is punished, the other 1, just as at fualt , if not
more so, goes on totally unpenalized for his/her action. either
do it to both partied responsible or niether.

No, every person has total control over whether or not they die from killshooter.  Nobody else does.

Should they get stuck in tunnel vision and disregard their ability to prevent it, too bad.

the only problem i have with killshooter is when someone flies directly into your bullets and you have no chance to stop.

1) straffing a groundtarget

2) some idiot flying through you from behind

3) someone cutting accross your bullet stream from outside your veiw

It works as a deterrent for players shooting over your shoulder
It works as a deterrent for idiots shooting teammates.

surely theres a way to come to a compromise so we dont get punished for the odd freak occourance like 1,2 or 3??

must say i like the loss of ammo thing.that would really piss off the kill stealers or team killers :D

Absolutely not true. How do I have control over some dkhead who flies thru me or zooms perpendicular to me and my target? The majority of the killshooters come from diving on a target and someone coming from a 90 degree direction OUT OF VIEW or (like what happened to me yesterday) when a plane flies thru me and I shoot his wing and I die.  All of you who say the killshooter works fine seem to want to put the blame on the shooter rather then the piloting skills of others. Like in real life the person who should get shot down is the person who flies in front of another engagement. Either get real or can it.

Been flying for almost 2 years now.  Think I've only KS twice the whole time.  Once was for dropping eggs on a VH that had a friendly a/c flying over it when the bomb went off.

KS works fine the way it is
