is your aim off lately?
« on: October 11, 2002, 09:50:21 PM »
Ok, prepare yourself for a whine :)

How many have been having problems with the hit modelling (aka-aiming) as of the last release?

I've been 200-300 out and know my shots should have landed. Now, I'm not the best aimer, but I do have a good feel for where i'm shooting, and when you're 200 out and the nme plane is in the middle of the crosshairs, 50 cal's usually do land...... As I remember some luftleatherweenies whining about 50 cal's hitting lazer shots at 1k. :D

I know i'm setting myself up for this, so i'll put on my 15th century armour for deflecting the mud shots but.... is it just me??  :p

Yah, I have been having trouble  hitting my target as well.. I too  am not the greatest aimer  but from 400 and closer  I usually  dont miss..   Bullets seem to pass through planes for me..  But then again it might be a connecion thing...    My biggest problem is P47 300 in front of me  shooting me down   because of some crazy warp.....:( It happens alot:(

I've had this problem as well.. thought it might be coincidence but my accuracy has dropped off 3 full % points to back.. and it was only 13 or so to start with.

I'm not convinced that it's us, but I don't know what it could be.
The micro warps are more numerous now, and hits are not registering. Before we changed servers, I would always notice a "micro-warp" when the nme plane reached approx 6k and 3.9k distance. I understood this was do to the server syncronyzing the systems. Now, the "micro-warps" are more numerous and are occuring at distances as close as 900yds out. I have a fairly good hand at lead shots and they are not connecting like before.
The strange thing is, my hit % is up, but I believe this is due more to my paying closer attention to deflection shots and waiting till I know there's a clear shot.
I talked to Skuzzy about it the other day and he said that there should be some adjusting aim due to the new server and the timing differences. Even with that in mind my aiming just doesn't "feel" right. I can't explain it any better then that   :p

It changed for me, at least it's my feeling. now, I'm "reajusting" again and start to hit consistantly. I noticed the same thing when I went from modem to road runner and from road runner to an another cable company. I don't know if it's related.

You know - now that you mention it, I am having a MUCH more difficult time hitting 500 yard deflection shots with .50s than I used to. I just thought my aim was rusty ...

My gunnery sucks to the point that I can't give a qualified answer. But to me it seems harder.

I've noticed 50 cals don't seem to land as hard as they did...lit up a P-38 at least 2 dozen times yesterday and nothin' :(

Hispanos on the typhoon seem fine.
