While reading these responses, a thought came to mind... I would have to ask those more knowledgable then myself but it's just a thought. The new main arena/server now allows 700 players to compete. That's a hell of alot of data which needs to be transferred.
1.) Is this a real issue or is it just perceived?
2.) Is HT using some kind of new algorythm to compress the data in order to free up some of the bandwidth on the server to get those numbers?
3.) If so, would that cause the increased micro-warps and lost packets which would effect the hit model?
4.) If not, what would cause this problem?
I've also been paying attention to my host que time and connection rate. The host que is typically 20ms spiking from 0-100ms sporadically. When I log into the arena, there's typically a 80ms -100ms ping for the MA. I'm on cable and my ping times used to run 50-70ms steady.
Skuzzy, your people are weeping, do you hear our cries of oppression?
