just an idea.

Shall I punt the old threads prior to resupply version which whined about the lack of ability to restore the HQ?...you know the ones where       everyone logs out after HQ is down?

there will still be a chance to resupply... just have to keep enough factories up to produce supplies...

maybe there could be an option to perk the supplies after a country has run out of them? then there would always be a chance of resupplying the HQ... ;)

Guys, let me reiterate:

Over a year ago, the most whines on this board were "Our HQ got hit, the city was down, 2 hours to rebuild...we logged for the night, HTC, do something about this!"

HTC said "Hey, we're losing numbers when a countries HQ goes down."

So HTC enabled everyone to resupply their own HQ's. "Brilliant!" were the posts on this board.

Did some folks think that other countries wouldn't bother?

You DO know you can prevent goons from resupplying, right?  CAP, or hitting nearby field barracks...YOU have control over it.

You guys crack me up. :)  Worse than my wife, changing your mind... ;)

Co-op-er-ation...works for all countries.;)

Oh I think its cool that you can repair a hq and its cool that people do it. I think its comical that you guys have 15 people to park there with goons.
Our HQ is typcally far behind knight lines and all those dweebs are in a daisy chain of lancs keeping it down and bragging on channel one that they did it.

And this is how HTC supposedly want to encourage bombersto go after strat targets? You don't want bombers goign after hangars but you don't want them to effect strat either so is it any wonder I now only really fly on squad nights and why the majority of my squad of dedicated buffers do the same. The mission arena can't come soon enough

You call that a counter? HTC said in his Wargamer interview he wants bombers to go after strat targets more, as a bomber squadron we have done so but there is no point with the current setup. We're too busy attacking strat targets to bother milkrunning playing capture the flag and our bomber mission's are far from milkrun's we try to put forward something a little more historical than the usual gangbang heavy fighter conga

So answer the question.

What strat is an HQ? (Other than a means to get folks to log off, if its down for any length of time, as in Pre-V1.07)

The HQ is a means to deny the enemy of their radar to facilitate a better chance for our own side to progress.

If you log off that's your own problem you should have defended your HQ, our missions see us pass over three or more airfields don't blame me if you're too lazy to do anythign about it we're flying as HT said he would like bombers to fly hitting strat objects. You won't see us above 28k and we hit strat objects but of course we could just go round porking fields at will if you'd prefer

Don't blame me if your squadron didn't bring fighters to suppress the C47 upping, and don't blame me for your bombers failing to take out barracks at nearby fields :)

Sorry but if you're playing bingo you've got a different card to the rest of us. The loss of radar reduces your ability to use the gamey AWACS inflight dar there is nothing to stop you sending out a plane or two from each base to patrol, again it comes down to being lazy.

It's got nothing to do with being lazy when your HQ is so far behind your own lines, if anyone is milkrunning and padding their score it is you flying nice safe little C47 missions behind your own lines like some kind of airtour service. The current setup means bombers are rare enough in the AH skies as it is. The rebuild times are a joke when it takes 1.5 - 2 hours for a bomber sortie such as the ones we put together.

Thats right, it IS a joke.  Now go find a nice strat target like a field that won't affect everyone. ;)

And remember, ALWAYS be careful what you ask for. :)

If that's all you can add it shows how shallow your point was.

Fine, feel happy you've milk-runned and padded your score just a variation on a theme really for you, same 'throw numbers at a target' just a different plane really, well done!
