It should be this way. Whatever party is in power can decide who gets to vote, based on their ideals.

By interview or test, you get voting rights if you qualify. If you dont, you are not considered a full citizen and are not allowed to leave the country.

I could agree with that.  Then again, voter turn-out is so low anyway that restricting access to the booth would probably just reduce turn-out even more and we'd end up with Bush in the White House again.

Voting in Canada is pointless.

I live in Saskatchewan, i get an NDP government. I live in Canada, i get a Liberal government (thanks you square headed freak Mulrooney for giving us a one party system)

...but not everyone goes into the military because they are patriotic - some go to get college money or health coverage for their kids or because their parents kicked them out or because they don't have any useful skills or a high enough aptitude for a job in the competitive market.

and not every land owner is a citizen or even cares about america.

what a stupid idea - how can i vote against you?
