I agree JAB, neither side is clean.

Both sides are dirty.

But Russians still have a capital city and most of their population left. The chechens have nothing but the hand of friendship from terrorists everywhere. This was just the first time, and the pigskin thing will go a long way to ensure there is a second and a third time. The russians will need to be lucky again and again

the chechens will only need to be lucky once.

Realistically the Chechens are now fighting for their pride, since they no longer have a viable country. The Chechens/Ingush have lived in that region for probably 6000 years. They were invaded in the 19th century and subsumed into soviet russia after that.

The campaign in Chechnya is nothing short of a deliberate attempt to eradicate the indigenous inhabitants which started back in 1944 when between 30% and 50% of the region's population was forcibly exiled to siberia.

It's a tragedy of unimaginable proportions that pales into insignificance at the actions of some bloodthirsty maniacs.

Some are dirtier than others.

Yeah it's true, it doesn't work.
My old Civic had that "electron blue pearl" paint which started several conversations for me. But the WRX just looks like a rental car to them.
But I knew one who would get excited (physically) from driving real fast, so maybe I just need to work on getting them IN the car.

Eagler, I think this might have gone past the level of playground dispute and into armed conflict some time ago.
