I would be careful in Thailand. Seems the Thai's are the next most likely to succeed in the Pacific Terror exchange.

Thailand is also a popular Aussie holidaying spot.  They wont stop to ask if your Swedish.

Yup, im fully aware of that. As long as they dont bomb the beaches and the remote paradise islands then im ok.

The "club" scene and "tourist spots" dont attract me...

I will be carefull when im gonna be in the big towns...

If i get blown up down there then i guess it was meant to be...

Thailand is GREAT. I've spent the last two christmas holidays there.  Its one of the last places in the world with good infrastructure and damn cheap prices. Below is a pic of me at the Bridge of River Kwai. :)

Have fun Maniac!

Yep, this is the real thing. The Bridge of River Kwai is about 2hrs from Bangkok by car. If you have a chance, visit it. Makes for an excellent day trip and you get to see the countryside on the way as well.

There's a great museum right next to the bridge. The bridge is still in use, steam trains cross it every couple of hours.  The movie was shot somewhere else and gave the idea that the bridge was wooden. It was built from metal from the beginning and the allied bombed it a couple of times. The prisoners rebuilt it every time.

The Allied prisoner camp is pretty close as well, a couple of kilometers down the river.  A lot of prisoners died there, building the railway to Burma. Mostly British and Dutch prisoners, if I remember correctly. Below is a shot of the cemetary.
