i like the pizza map the terrain is cool cause it has different eleveations and i like the size and the amount of bases, so you dont have to reset every time one base is captured

Ya I hate the pizza map too.  Actually it looks more like the flux capacitor.

This is a legitimate (non-whine) design problem.  Some of the vehicle spawns are wrongly placed.  I don't know what effort (if any) is being directed towards it.

The light brown is much brighter than the greens of the other terrains. It hurts a lot of people's eyes, particularly those who play in darker rooms, have naturally sensative eyes, or play with a relatively low refresh rate. I imagine snow-covered terrains would have the same problem.

yet another good reason NOT to smoke pot...makes the eyes too sensitive to light...not that I know anything about that...

To me it's more of an 'my eyes aren't those of a 19 year olds anymore'.

Seriously, the colors are too contrasty for the comfort of these almost 60 year old eyes. It's like looking at a screen with dark green and light tan checks...very straining to the eyes.

A bit of herb takes the edge off it a bit but that shouldn't be the solution to the problem IMO.

I'll leave the fluffing to your mom dickhead, not everyone is content to be an opportunist in a getaway plane . If I was also too stupid to figure out how to use a bombsight I might have had less than 13 bomber sorties last tour . Of course then I'd probably have resentment towards players who choose to fly bombers too .

Paint it green, and add clounds. (I love clouds).

I have 9 kills and 0 deaths in Pizza so far.

Flying a Spitfire Mark ONE. (Float Carbi and all!)

My combat alts range from 4000 - 15000.

ANY early war aircraft is capable of combat through to 20000 feet.

Most can struggle up to 25000 feet.

The statement that Pizza airfield are too high for early war aircraft is incorrect. I have shot down 2 P51 Mustang with my Spit 1 so far.

If it wasnt for Pizza, I would still be afraid of 'uber' LA7s. Get them above 5000 feet and they are Gustav fodder.

Personally the change of scenery was one of the few things I liked about AKDESERT, but IMO people's comfort is more important than what a terrain looks like.

Perhaps AKDESERT could be rebuilt into something less painful?  Darker shades of brown might work fairly well.

I lovem the pizza map, and when I logged in last when it was loaded, there were 500+ online enjoying it as well. Obviously they were enjoying it, of they would no have been there, right?

-i dont mind the altitude of the bases though they could place the high alt bases better
-the size could be cut by 10-25%
-the textures are ugly compared to pretty much every other map including CT and SEA maps ive seen

i think ill make a pacific map similar to midway map just for fun.
btw AK guy who made the pizza how did you go about submitting it and getting approval from HTC? we definately need more maps in the MA IMO or we could split into 2 MA's 1 euro that would feature pizza style maps with those colors in mind and not a whole lot of water, and 1 pacific style MA with the opposite. it would cater to which ever style of player you are.... just some ideas that will never be acted upon.

Mirge, I didn't make the map... but if you want to get one started, get it approved, and get it in the game... you have to start talking to HiTech before you even begin with the terrain editor.

Tell him your ideas, he'll tell you what he thinks with his ideas... then work from there.

Email him or call him, the numbers are on the HTC home page... http://www.hitechcreations.com/about.html

BTW, for all of those complaining about the colors hurting your eyes... are you playing in a dark room? That alone will ruin your eyes... regardless of the colors on your screen... turn on dem lights!
