Rear View Mirrors

Just wondering why the planes that had them in WW2 don't have them in this sim. NASCAR 2K2 has them (and they work). I'm just wondering if it's a hard thing to do.     Thanks:)

Spitfires had rear view mirrors, but a recent interview w/ a spit pilot that was posted here had him saying that the mirror was useless and you'd not survive if you used it.

That aside, it'd be pretty eyecandy.
