You want to know why all gauges are the same units?

In the MA, you can fly any plane you want at any time.

Can you imaging the Cluster F@ck of people trying to communicate between systems? The guy in the German plane tells his wingman in the US plane, "I'm at 25KM altitude, where are you?" US response, "I'm at 25,000 feet, how high is that compared to you?"

Or the mega whines from side to side...

"No way you could catch me, I was going 400KMH!"

"Sure I could, I was going 375MPH"

WHAAA!!!!!

The list could go an and on.

I would love to see HT allow modification of the internal as well as external skins for the entire planeset. Alot of people in the community have had great ideas on how to implement this and I think HT will do this in the future.
HT has always been responsive to our community and I believe it's just a matter of time before they implement these ideas.

IMHO

Careful now, if this goes too far they might have to remove the uber-accurate ammo counter to make room for the accurate instruments.  There would certainly be some people howling then.  :)

Let them have it... Well if they build in the feature to be able to have tracer rounds loaded when closing to the end of ammo belt in a NO TRACERS option...

I'm with you Madbirdz. Seems that was a common enough practice to warrant the option for players to choose it in their personal AH experience.

25 km? You obviously have problems with units ;)

Well, or some ac are overmodeled.

If there's only one kind of units for gauges it should at least be what is used in todays aircraft. knots (nm/hr) not mph!

This has been bashed at before. Poeple don't want to take the time to learn the metric system. I don't understand what's so hard with that.

Learning the metric system is not the issue.  HT had a system in WB where you could CHOOSE to fly all metric, all US, or historically correct guages.  It worked well.  As others have said, it would be nice to have that system here.  Whatever the reason HT has decided not to implement it in AH, it has nothing to do with US players' unwillingness to learn metric.

Is there anything that doesn't offend Europeans?

OK, OK, OK

forget my initial post.
Let's say:

PLZ HTC make it that we can have our own gauges for each plane (regardless if they are metirc or what else) so we have nicer, more beautifull, more realistic, cooler gauges.

This is what I would like to see. If someone would use metric gauges or not, it would only depend on HIS preferences.
So no need to discuss the pros and cons about imperial or metric measures. No need to cry for metric gauges. Only the need to cry for individual gauges.
