ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128

Very happy with it too, can fly full tilt and boogie mode in AH as good as my old GForce 3 did with everything turned off :).

Lasse,

No I have no way of knowing it other than admiting having  reverse engineered the AH protocol. Sending computer specs during logon is just something that seems logical to me how ever. It would be benefical for HTC to know their customer base's hardware specifications.

AKS\/\/ulfe,

There are numerous pieces of software that report various things about your system, usage habits and the like back to the vendor and they all aren't from Micros~1. Common to the software how ever is that they all do run on Micros~1 operating systems.

Do a search for spyware on google to get an idea. The term often linked with adware, but there's nothing that tells you what any software that has a net connection and a closed protocol is sending out. One popular P2P program goes even as far as claims to have the right to donate your CPU cycles to a 3rd party for letting you share files with their software.

I worked for a company that made/makes a 3D benchmark tool and the ammount of data in the packet sent from a user's computer was quite impressive. Which wasn't so bad since you had to press "send" to send anything but if I recall right the user didn't know exactly what was being sent.

Asus GF4 Ti 4200 128 meg DDR... and loving it!! Without FPS limiter, hitting 120+ alone, 70ish in furball @ 1024x768, 32 bit color.

I know, I know...with that card, why am I running at such a low res.... answer: crappy Phillips 107S monitor.

GF3 Ti500 64MB run at 1600x1200x32bit color
(I once turned AH to max res just to try it out and apparently forgot to turn it back)

Kyro Prophet 4500 64MB FPS is typically in the 20-30 range. FWIW, I borrowed a friends GF4 card. No big improvement in FPS other than the orange sky problem that Kyro seems to have.

Biggest limitation is the CPU, I think... Athlon 750.
