Uber maned field guns

These 37s seem to be recoiless, with more than 1200 shells ready for use without any kind of recharging times and with the chance of disabling tracers, that is, uber killing machines. Even more, killing them while being controled by a player doesnt award u with any kill while the other keeps getting one kill after another.

Sincerely, traveling more than one quadrant, killing most of the acks of an enemy field and then BOOOM, player XXX kill you from and tracer disabled 37mm gun, is not fair at all.

IMO, only small cal ack should be freely handled by players, else perk the 37s.

Replace the 37's with mannable 88's. It would be realistic and give a slight defense to the high alt buff attack. No large caliber guns is hardly realistic. It's disgustingly easy to capture a field now. There is no way a single or even pair of fighters should be able to take down the D on a field.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I don't see why they don't have tracers already.

Manable 88s sounds like heaven.

How about always make a point to shoot out the mannable acks first. Really isn't hard to do.

For some reason, many people try vulchin when these things aren't down.

Just shoot couple bullets into the ack....problem solved.

The only thing I CAN hit in mannable field guns are the hangars...

I sure could use some help in learning how to aim 37's. I think this is an under-appreciated skill.

when you are de-acking a field, how do you tell the manable acks from the auto-acks?

The mannable ones don't shoot, or appear not to because they don't have tracers.  Also, when you hear bang, and your wing comes off, it was manned.. if you hear ping, and maybe get damaged, it was an auto-ack.

The defensive effect of mannable acks is virtually negligable in attempting to stop a concerted attack.   So you might knock down one or two planes before the ack is destroyed, and that's if you're a good shot.  Big deal.  We all get hit by ack once in a while.   Ground fire was one of the biggest killers of aircraft in the war, people tend to underestimate this.  Perhaps if the ack is destroyed while a player is in it, he should get a death, but anyone with a brain would just hop out to the tower as soon as he's about to get strafed.

I myself have been one-ping-killed by auto-ack quite a few times, and in tough birds too, like Hellcats and P-38's.  Just *bang* and my tail comes off, or *bang* and I'm back to tower (must be cockpit hits).  I don't get shot down from these, just killed, so it was auto ack.
