Here's an idea I always wanted implimented...
Make the icons toggleble so that a plane's ID
will switch to a player's handle once you get within 300 yrds or so. This will simulate personal markings on the aircraft without requiring a zillion DL's on nose art.
The key here is to make this player selectable. That way the Aces can decide to
go as anonymously as they want. And avoid getting hunted too easily. Same with the dweebs for that matter
In WWII Erich Hartmann said his kills went down once the Russians figured out what plane he was flying. His kills went up again once he switched to a generic 109 removing his
individual markings.
On the other hand, some RAF Wing Co's kept their personal letters even though they had a higher risk of being targeted.
If you allow the player to decide on whether his ID is shown or not it removes alot of potential hassles...I'd love to see it implimented.
