Serious Jug Time (D-11)
« on: December 02, 2002, 01:25:56 PM »
Hey, I'm gonna be in the Jug for the majority of this campaign, and I'm loking for real killers in the Jug-11 to learn from. I've been in AH for nearly a year flying mostly Corsairs, and I'm ready for a new challenge. Compared to the F4U1D-1C, the D-11 feels almost weightless on the stick.

If I can learn the Hog I can learn anything!

Any takers? reply here or to corsair_pilot_mn@yahoo.com if interested thanks!

there are some good D-11 sticks around. There is a squad called something like "56th zemkes wolfpack" or something and they all fly lots of P47's

I enjoy the 47 alot myself, but can hardly call myself a good pilot in it. I had  K/D ratio of 178/74 last tour......not good at all

Hell no not putting a tarp over anything, can't find one damn near beg enough for Big Blue anyway :)

I'll still be flying the corsair, but not 95% of the time like I have been since Jan. I feel like I'm good enough in it to let it go and try something else. trust me, if I get p---ed off enough, bet your bottom dollar I'll be in a Hog, stomping on someone's noggin :)

You are welcome to hook up with me in the MA when you see me. I know a few tricks in it, but I am certainly not the best.

Drop me an email and I know some tricks, but the good P47 sticks out there include ammo and Frenchy - you might want to talk to them, but I can surely help you out. My email is BlueiceJr2004@aol.com.

Im 10-1 KD in the D11 and thats not 2 missions either......

First tip keep speed up, at least above 250mph ias in the combat zone.

I also suggest the lesser ammo loadout...

It gives a better feel in the plane.

Ammo, Frenchy, etc... All are aces in the D11 its a Great plane.

Talk to them...

Note Your visability over the nose is your biggest asset in the D11 so use it to get them nice shots on the enemy.  8 .50 cals and its game over for them..

2cents

Hey Gainsie!

Hook up with Ammo & Sancho with the 56th FG WOLFPACK. They are without a doubt the best Jugg Pilots in AH. They taught Lowe and I how to fly the Jugg when we first joined AH.

I can fly the P-47 alright, I'd be happy to give you any general pointers.  Of course, the 56th is the place to go for some expert advice on that plane.
