5" gun question
« on: December 06, 2002, 10:30:23 AM »
I've seen some fantastic shots with the big AA guns on the fleet (> 5K range) when it seems all I can do is to every now and then get the proximity fuses to detonate!

Are there modified sights or is this a "you get the feel for it after a while" issue?

When firing the 5" gun, you need to summon the force to assist you in your killing quest.

Use the Force young Alpo, use the Force!

Long shots take a lot of lead, aim way ahead, then add a little more.

Often it's necessary to lead much more than you might think.

But lately I've been puzzled by the 5-inchers not seeming as effective as before.  I've had planes dive right through repeated line of sight shots, which seems ridiculous that they could survive, and they didn't used to nearly as much.
