Crappy way to go

I have to disagree with the urban legends on this one.  I've seen those photos before.

The zoo at Laticia, Colombia used to have an Anaconda.  There was a 14 or 15 year old boy that worked at the zoo that got a bit careless when working around the Anaconda and was eaten.

Why is it that so many people just take what urban legend says for granted? It's as if some unknown person posted something on that page it immediately becomes fact.

Some people should learn some independent critical thinking instead of just taking everything they read on the internet for granted.

That final photo aint a fake. For one thing, it just aint. For two, look at the dude's foot. Ya just don't make stuff like that up.

But, it does look like it's from a different set than the 1st two.

Hortlund - I agree, 100%.  The posts that I simply skip over are those in which the originator simply posts a URL link - no original thought at all. Not worth reading - I could have found it myself with a Google search - had I been interested.

That scenario is fake. The last picture is in no way related to the two others

All constrictors swallow their pray head first so the mans legs would be visible in the snake's body as a gently descending bump from the middle of the snake's body slopeding forward towards the head - the first two pics there is a sudden drop off at both ends of the eaten animal. The last picture shows the man's legs are whole and there is no way his legs could have been folded up in the snake..

The animal shape in the snake looks like a capibara, which is common huge south american rodent and is often pray for the anacondas. It is a big fat animal shaped like a loaf of bread with legs and perfectly matches the shart drop offs seen in the snakes body.

However it is entirely possible for an anaconda to kill and swallow a small sized human being, it just happends that was not the case in the first two pictures. The third picture is likely genuine but of course not related to the others.

This is a capibara, compare it to the shape in the snake.

Never said I agreed with the Urban Legends explanation and as Beet1e stated, I offered no original thought or comment.  My knowledge of such events is limited and how they may have occured is outside my area of expertise.  I just wanted to see the response to information (true or false) that I had run across previously.  I attempted to cater to those who cringe at hyperlinks by providing the info and as demonstrated once again, you certainly can't please everyone in here, so go suck eggs.  

My personal comment?  The human form in the third picture doesn't look like the shape in the first two pics - wait... damn, that's what Grunherz said, so I can't claim that as an original thought.  Oh well... I'm off to scan the BB for more original thinkers to model my posts after...

Generally speaking Snopes also includes a list of source material that their information is based on.  This isn't the case with this issue.

Sorry.  It's not really a laughing matter.  The man had family who loved him.  What a gruesome way to die.   They should be in our prayers.

Cause in first 2 pics, its halfway digested.. and in 3rd its like 1/4 digested if not at all..

While in Colombia in 93, there we were near the town of Leticia, Colombia when the soldiers presented us with some pictures of a tragedy that occured at the zoo.  A young boy that cleaned up at the zoo was eaten by one of the zoo's Anaconda.  The first two pictures look very similar to the ones I saw down there.  This was not an area where doctored photos ran rampant.

It looks like the guy has a gouge on his leg from where they sliced through the snake... another little detail that would make me think it's real.
