Why is it that so many people just take what urban legend says for granted?

Hortlund - I agree, 100%. The posts that I simply skip over are those in which the originator simply posts a URL link - no original thought at all. Not worth reading - I could have found it myself with a Google search - had I been interested.

Never said I agreed with the Urban Legends explanation and as Beet1e stated, I offered no original thought or comment. My knowledge of such events is limited and how they may have occured is outside my area of expertise. I just wanted to see the response to information (true or false) that I had run across previously. I attempted to cater to those who cringe at hyperlinks by providing the info and as demonstrated once again, you certainly can't please everyone in here, so go suck eggs.
My personal comment? The human form in the third picture doesn't look like the shape in the first two pics - wait... damn, that's what Grunherz said, so I can't claim that as an original thought. Oh well... I'm off to scan the BB for more original thinkers to model my posts after...
