Shatner was a well-known and successful Shakespearean actor in Canada before moving to L.A. and becoming Captain Kirk.  I don't think he deserves some of the criticism that has been leveled at his acting ability.  However, I suspect he would come across better "on the stage" than he has "on the tube."

Did anyone catch his Paintball Pay-per-view  Sunday? It was sad. 3 Teams. Federation, Borg, Klingon. Poor Shatner almost passed out every scence running around in that gear playing his Kirk character for all the kids involved. alas no one lit him up in the end.. Instead someone put a gun barrel to his back and called him "assisnated" ! Whats up with that!! . I'm sure anyone that paid for this were hoping to see him riddled with paint.

One of my favorite recordings..

Very close second is Leonard Nimoy's "MacArthur Park "

SOB,

So what's your point?  We all have our bad days.

Never heard that before...was it a spoof of Lennon and his references to drugs in the original version?  Or just an incredibly ill-advised effort on Shatner's part?

No point, just wanted you all to hear that.  :)

I think it was an ill-advised effort.  I just purchased a CD with 24 songs sung by either Will Shatner or Leonard Nemoy.

SOB, thanks for posting the Amazon link.  I went and decided to check out my gold box while I was there and actually had something in there I've been looking for!  :)  You saved me $$$!
