I for one am glad its over.  The point at which they whipped out there pocket protectors, and started slapping each other, was narrowly averted.

Ditto.

Shake it off wulfie.  The "person" involved wasn't worth the effort exerted.  Believe me, you're better off just keeping 1 squelched.

"How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it."

-Marcus Aurelius

It's always easier to correct small problems than big ones.  Events happen that you can't take back, you can only move on and learn from them.  That's our situation, that's your situation.  So that's all there is to do.

Contrary to what some of the HTC conspiracy theorists read into this, we're not trying to police everything that gets said in the arena(we've had better results with the subliminal messages).  If that were the case, it would have been obvious months ago.  But we do have some people cut loose on the radio with extremely offensive material.  If we weren't around to deal with it, it couldn't be dealt with at the time.  Now there is some limited power granted but it's still something we have to administer.

Crash, if/when you write anymore articles for SimHQ in regards to AH and its community, don't let a handful speak for the majority.

Even though I'm not the same CRASH that writes for the sim pages, I would never trash the AH community based on the behavior of a small minority who can't or won't police themselves.
For reason's I dont fully understand many people take what is said in the buffer and on the boards by people they've never met seriously and are negatively affected by it.  It genuinly distresses them, as a result I've seen a few of our own hard core flight simmers quit the game and in no small part due to nonsense like this.  I can only imagine that it affects other HT customers in the same manner.  Regardless of your position on "free speach" HT has a duty to protect their employees, investors, the corporation and their customers from just this sort of personal attack based nonsense. It's unfortunate that it ever even comes to that.
